Dragon Egg Studio

I'm The Chromatic, Dragon Egg Studio's lead 2D/3D artist. I run the studio's 3D character art pipeline — modeling, texturing, rigging, weight-painting — and partner with our animation lead on the deeper animation work, so I can take the project on as your point of contact and bring the right hands in behind me where the brief calls for it.

For straightforward in-game animation — locomotion sets, combat, idle cycles, hit reactions — I can carry the full pipeline myself. For specialized work (mocap cleanup, cinematic-grade sequences, IK-heavy gameplay-tied animation), I bring in our studio's animation specialist while staying as your single point of contact throughout. UE5 imports cleanly from FBX either way. The studio behind Temple Run 2 and a billion-plus mobile downloads gives the team a deep production pipeline to draw on.

Whatever the scope settles into, you'd be hiring me as your point of contact — not the whole party. I see projects through to completion, and you won't be quietly handed off to someone else without your knowledge and consent. The studio behind me is a strength on quality and depth, not a competing priority on your timeline.

Your post is light on detail, so to put a real number in front of you I'd want to know: how many characters, the animation list per character (locomotion / combat / cycles / specials), your rig spec (Mixamo, custom, UE5 Manny-compatible?), and your preferred deliverable format (FBX root-motion, in-place, both). Happy to share portfolio samples after a quick exchange.

Ready to talk scope and timeline whenever you are.

I'm The Chromatic, Dragon Egg Studio's lead 2D/3D artist. A modular pixel system for a mobile MMORPG — gendered human and elf bodies, layered armor sets, four weapon classes across five tiers each — is the exact kind of long-arc art contract I'm built for, and Aether Legacy's scope is one I can carry through to delivery on a single contract.

Modular character art for mobile is right in my wheelhouse. I'm comfortable slicing assets for Bone2D/Skeleton2D rigging, keeping limb/torso/head separations clean for independent skeletal motion, and structuring atlases so they hold up on phone hardware without losing pixel clarity. Godot's import pipeline is straightforward to deliver into. The studio behind Temple Run 2 — a billion-plus mobile downloads — sets the performance-aware bar I work to every day.

You'd be hiring me — not the whole party. I'd be your single point of contact for the entire deliverable: human and elf base bodies, the five armor sets across both genders, all twenty weapons. I see projects through to completion, and I won't be replaced without your knowledge and consent. The studio's resources behind me mean senior backup if a technical question on rigging or atlas optimization comes up — never a competing priority on your timeline.

May 20th is tight but workable for a focused contract. Before I quote, I'd want a quick chat about priority order — which race and which armor sets need to land first if we're staging the work — and target sprite dimensions for your mobile build. Portfolio samples and rate quote ready to share.

Ready to talk scope and timeline whenever you are.

I'm The Chromatic, Dragon Egg Studio's lead 2D/3D artist. Doom-style HUD pixel work with Erik's maniacal-grin energy is a fun, focused brief — and the kind of stylized character sheet I'd genuinely enjoy taking on at a hobby-friendly rate.

Pixel art and character sprite sheets are squarely in my lane. I'm comfortable working to exact specs — your 110x100 frame, the STFST/STFTL/STFTR/STFEVL/STFKILL/STFOUCH/STFGOD/STFDEAD naming convention, and the right tier breakdown across the 42 files so they drop straight into your Doom-mod pipeline. I'll watch the trailer, study Erik in your draft, and dial in that unhinged grin consistently across neutral, glance, evil, and combat states so the face reads as one character through every emotional beat. The studio behind Temple Run 2 sits behind me if you want a senior set of eyes on the sheet.

You're hiring me — not the whole studio descending on Berserker's Domain. I'd see all 42 files through to completion as your single point of contact, no handoffs without your knowledge and consent. The studio behind me is a strength, not a competing priority — meaning if a question comes up on file format, palette consistency, or how the sprites read in-game, I have senior peers to consult without inflating your bill.

On budget — I hear you on the hobby-project scope, and I can quote something realistic for it. Happy to send portfolio samples and put a flat number in front of you once we've talked through any final tweaks to Erik's design before I start the sheet.

Ready to talk scope and timeline whenever you are.

I'm The Chromatic, Dragon Egg Studio's lead 2D/3D artist. The 16-bit RPG register you're after — Final Fantasy, A Link to the Past, Chrono Trigger, Pokémon FireRed — is exactly the visual language I work in, and a small village build with a castle, shop, and blacksmith is a clean, scoped piece of work I'd be glad to take on for the initial paid map.

Map design and tile setup is in my lane. I'm comfortable working from existing tilesets like the ones on itch.io to keep your budget tight, or building custom tiles where the available ones don't quite fit the village you have in mind. I can deliver in SpriteFusion, Tiled, or whatever editor you prefer — walkable/non-walkable layers configured cleanly, and a clean exported JSON that drops into your Unity migration without re-authoring. The studio behind Temple Run 2 backs me up if scope grows.

You'd be hiring me — not the whole party. I'd be your single point of contact, see this map through to completion, and won't be swapped for another artist without your knowledge and consent. The studio's senior team sits behind me as a safety net, not a competing priority on your project — meaning when an edge case comes up (collision quirks, layer boundaries, atlas optimization for the Unity build), I have peers to consult without expanding your contract.

A few quick scope questions before I quote: tile size and overall canvas dimensions, whether the castle/shop/blacksmith need interiors or just exteriors for the village pass, and which editor you'd like the source file delivered in. Once those are clear I can put a flat in front of you.

Ready to talk scope and timeline whenever you are.

Testimonial

“I hired the studio to develop game software which would need complex server coding to allow different platforms to be compatible with one another — something built entirely from the ground up. When I had a great idea for a game I wanted to come to life, I searched all across the internet to find the right partner. They stood out beyond all others, with their extensive history with software development and previous achievements.”
Matt Peterson, 40APM Studios
