Hey y'all!

I'm reaching out to the Gam Jammers of the itch community to ask if anyone has advice on hosting a game jam. Here are some things to know (sorry in advance):

- I've never participated in a Game Jam :(

- I want to host one for the Game Development Club at my University

- I want the game jam to be low stakes and low time commitment   ( 1 week to make a game? )

- Probably going to encourage development to be on any platform (Visual Studio, Unity, GameMaker, you name it!)

- I was thinking the game jam could be centered on assets (e.g. make a game out of these assets)

- This game jam would be private; hosted solely for the students interested in the student org and to the general campus

This is where I currently am in terms of developing the game jam, and I was curious if there were things that I was forgetting to consider... or things that I need to change about my current outline. Also, would it be meaningful to have this game jam posted on itch? Or some other platform that can showcase all the participants works at the end of the jam?

Sorry if my question is super vague, but I'm happy to follow up as needed !

Eek- thank you! ^^

This is a cute tileset. :) Nice job.

Just added this to my private collection! I want to play it when I get a Windows, but for now.. My Mac-self won't be able to play it :(

Great game! I pooped my pants LOL Jkjjkjkjkj

--Oh ! You're right, I just noticed that. It's still very cool and .. I am horrible with composition, so I hope to hear more wonderful sounds from you!

Cute! The frog is definitely adorable too!

This is a cool game, and I hope that you'll implement more direct instructions (or a tutorial round) in the future !

This is a cute little game- I have Mac, so I can't download it, but the art is great and the concept sounds fun!

Commenting here to encourage others to take a peek at this amazing asset pack- the pixel art is clean and is definitely of high-value!!

This is such a tight asset pack! I'm currently busy with school (and not planning to do anything along this aesthetic), but the Minotaur is sick!! This pixel art definitely goes hard :)

Exciting ! I can't wait to see it ^^

such a cute game- I love the message of it too!

This game looks so interesting! I'm Hmong-American. What was your inspiration for this game?

I'm a little late to this, but this is such a cool character maker. The colors came well together. Here's mine:

Such a cute game! I made a tired green cat!

Cute project! I haven't downloaded it yet, but the art is amazing! :)

These are so cute! I love your art style. :)

Ooh! This is so cute... and with the addition of music, the game has amazing vibes. Great job!

This is pretty cool! I hope to see more board games from you. :)

Hi folks,

Just wanted to share an asset pack I made for another Visual Novel. This time, the asset pack is done with a bitmap style that emulates what a child would've drawn on Windows Paint.

You can view the pack at : https://doodlelor.itch.io/bitmap-vn-assets

I know there is better art out there, but sometimes, we just need a game with simple graphics... :)

Here's a sneak peek at the asset pack:

And some of it in action!

Thanks for checkin' out my project!

I've been a huge fan of creators on itch for a long time, but I have always been nervous about sharing my own content.

... Well fast-forward to 2023, I am happily sharing my first asset pack for a vn Chicken-themed game!

You can check out the full assets here. :)

And here's a quick overview of the assets in action:

The asset pack includes chickens, backdrops, and a text box.

Please give my first project a comment and some love! (ɔ◔‿◔)ɔ ♥
