Cool minigames! I couldn't work out how to restart each minigame though so I would've loved that to either be implemented, or better shown cause i was very confused.
I loved all the minigames, I think that the id finder was probably my favourite!
Cool game! I really liked the laser mechanic, I think it was the best part of the game to me - I would've loved more levels like the last one but I understand the time pressure. The only real critique i have is that the first 4 levels seemed a little bit too easy, but thats once again really just a time pressure thing.
I loved the atmosphere of this game, it creates such a beautiful little mood and I really enjoyed making my way down the mountain. Once i got down though I found it typical to get the height I needed and eventually crashed - I would've loved to see where the little maple seed ends up!
I think the gameplay itself could use some variation or something, as it felt quite repetitive after a bit. maybe hoops that do different things, or multiple choices, or insects who eat seeds that you have to avoid. Nonetheless, great game - especially for a first one!
Fun little game! The art is beautiful, and the music is nice and peaceful. I really liked the shop system, there's a good variety in upgrades and the mineral descriptions was a lovely touch. I was a bit suprised when I one-tapped the final ore the first time I tried, but nonetheless enjoyed myself.
Great job!
Very fun! I played it for at least 20 minutes, trying to get a gold medal, but never managed it :(.
The story and comedy are absolutely fantastic, watching him spin the hammer only to somehow go flying the first time was really funny, and the art for the portraits and backgrounds is great. My only piece of feedback would be to somehow add more depth to the gameplay loop, some upgrade that slows down the speed of the spinner, or makes the spinner spots appear more often would be nice!
Such a good game! I was really hoping someone else would take the theme this way, and you two worked wonders with it! I had a lot of fun with the different minigames, and i think that it was a great way to get some points across about some controverisal news in the world at the moment. (Though it would be good practice to include some references for the points that are uncovered!)
I was in grief over the loss of my first two robots, so once I finally got payed for saving one - I gambled it. I got 2x back! So I gambled it again. I got 5 more! Long story short, I get to 44 tokens. I gamble it. I lose it all. My life savings.
Fantastic game 10/10 (but spin to win kinda feels like it was put in the game as an afterthought)
Very fun! It's really cool having a minigolf game where you actually have to swing the club instead of just drag and shoot. I loved the hammer club, and it would've been cool to see some more different types in there. My only critique would be that everytime I grabbed the head of the club, it swung forwards slightly - often hitting the ball when I didn't want it to. I'd love to see some more levels if you keep working on it!
Cool game! I'm a sucker for pico8.
The controls felt really nice, and it was the best feeling in the world to get a bunch of hits with one charge. It would be nice if you could rotate your launch angle a bit more and a bit faster, as i think that would add a bit more skill to it - it felt a little bit random how well i did. Another cool thing would be to make different foods drop things, like maybe hitting one thing gives you more time, hitting another thing spawns a second ball or smth.
Had a lot of fun!
Cool Game! I absolutely adore the art style, and the amount of different intricate enemy designs is really impressive for a game jam game. The hollow knight inspiration is very apparent in a good way, made me attempt bouncing on enemies which is incredibly satisfying in the way it was implemented. I think the game suffers a little bit from the controls, i would've liked to be able to jump with up arrow, or to have controller support. Other then that, i had a blast!
These rodents in suits seem very serious.
holy! I thought we were being ambitious using raylib, you used an entire engine you made yourself - that's really cool. The game itself was a little bit slow paced i think, and it was hard to work out the hitbox on the suited rodents. I also picked up an upgrade at some point but idk what it did - I reckon those UI improvements you talked a bit about could go a long way. Cool game (engine)!
I think this would make a fantastic rage game if you added some more levels - the controls are really cool and yet really hard (in a good way!), and I can imagine how cool it would be to navigate different levels of a skyscraper trying to get all the way back to the start. I'd love to play an expanded version of this!
I love the premise! I found the dash difficult to understand however, and I randomly died one time before I'd even seen the enemy. The sound design is fantastic, hits feel very satisfying and the whistling is immersive. Shame you didn't have a bit more time, because I think the gameplay could become really fun with a little bit more development time.
Easily the most serious game i've played so far - had a blast! my time was 5:46 or smth.
the mechanics felt really nice, however I wanted a way to invert the way the launch worked, so i dragged forwards instead. I also found that every now and then there was a cool obstacle that I could easily avoid with a simple launch.
Regardless, I had a lot of fun and want to come back to it later to get my time down (a way to turn off or fast forward dialogue would make speedruns feel nicer i think)
Fantastic game, the art is AMAZING, the audio is AMAZING, I had a lot of fun and only a few parts i found a bit irritating, those being the lack of control descriptions (I broke all my plates cause i tried moving my mouse side-to-side to balance), and i didnt know what was left to spin for the finale, and ended up losing :(. Nonetheless, that's just a bit of nitpicking. The one real piece of critique i have is that it is far too fun of a game to be considered "serious", if i took that into a branch manager meeting they'd all get distracted playing and forget to be serious.
I was astounded at the fact that you managed to make not only a 3d game - but an actual 3d game instead of just a 3d rendering of some rays. The visuals of each room were really cool, and the gentle music was a nice touch. To be honest though, it wasn't super fun. I enjoyed walking around for a bit, found a locked door, and kept exploring for a key afterwards, but got a bit bored of looking. The polish though was on point, transitions, fog, etc, all made it look and feel really mysterious and cool!
Had lots of fun! I loved the art a heap, it felt really cozy, My main thing would just be controls - Space for dash felt a little unnatural, maybe shift or smth? And the double jump felt pretty inconsistent, it sometimes just decided not to work. Other then that i really enjoyed it though! Fit the theme perfectly <3
Wow! Had a great time playing this. The controls weren't super intuitive, maybe scroll wheel to rotate as well as R click, and WASD to move around? But I loved the gameplay - it felt a lot like Dorfromantik, which is a game i love. The different biomes were nice, and i found it pretty challenging. My last thing would be to make some of the pieces a little less complex, ones with a seperate biome on every edge were hard to use. but the first perfect i got, felt amazing! Nice work!
Damn, this was really fun! The gameplay was super easy to pick up, and the sound effects and graphics were really satisfying. It fit the theme pretty decently i think, but something else to make the temperature stand out a bit more would've been nice, maybe like a fiery in fill that turned to concrete or smth? idk, im just nitpicking. Got up to level 6
Thanks! Glad to hear you enjoyed it. Yeah, I tried for a while to get a smaller hit box working but because the pygame gods hate me it didn’t work. I’ll work it out in the future though - I also would’ve loved to add particles and feedback to the cursors but I completely forgot until after it was submitted haha,
I loved everything about this! The music, the reactiveness of the buttons - the good puzzle design allowing for multiple solutions that make you feel smart when you get them! My only 2 problems are (and they are very minor) Some sort of explanation of the GUI would've been nice, and a little more work into the graphics, although they were amazing for such a short time frame. Wouldn't be suprised if you guys are featured in that ending video this year ;)
