Thank you for such a detailed explanation. This is my first time posting something on this platform, so I don't know much about it, for example, you mentioned tags, some of which are pointless to add.

Regarding the cover, unfortunately, I can't imagine what I should draw to convey the essence of the game in the cover, and at the same time make it cool, and I also don't have serious drawing skills to draw something super duper detailed. Of course, this is my problem, I don't argue with that, but in my opinion, the current cover immediately makes it clear what awaits in the game.

Thanks again

Hello everyone, I'm currently concerned about the question: How popular are platformers among itch.io users?

I recently released a demo of my own platformer, but besides the fact that there are no views, it also doesn't seem to be getting any attention from people.

Hello everyone!

I would like to hear your ideas on what triggers I can add to the level editor for my game.

For those who are not familiar with the game - Robot Mil is a hardcore platformer inspired by Super Meat Boy. Some people also find this game similar to Super Mario Maker 2 in terms of gameplay. I recently released an update that added Level Maker to the game and support for Steam Workshop.

In addition to the usual obstacles, blocks and various objects, there are also triggers that allow you to manipulate them.

At the moment there are only 4 triggers:

  • Disable object;
  • Enable object;
  • Move object (you can choose the direction where to move it, at what speed, and the distance)
  • Switching from static to dynamic (for example, an object is hanging in the air, and when it hits a trigger it will start to fall)

Looks so good. Like a game from the Sega/Dendy era

Robot Mil - DEMO

Hello everyone!

I recently released a demo of my game Robot Mil. It's a hardcore platformer inspired by Super Meat Boy.

Robot Mil is a challenging platformer in which you will have to go through many levels filled with numerous obstacles.

  • The game has over 100 levels (Including both difficulty modes), various location themesmusic, and atmosphere.
  • The game is divided into two difficulty modes: normal mode and hard mode. The locations are the same, but the hard mode is more challenging because there are more obstacles, requiring greater precision and accuracy, which is what hardcore gamers appreciate.
  • For those who have little or no experience in this genre, the game offers a practice mode where you can set checkpoints and train on levels where you encounter difficulties.
  • For fans of extreme difficulty, there are challenges. The challenge contains all levels of the chapter, which must be completed without mistakes.
  • There is a separate section with additional levels that are immediately available for completion.
  • Some levels have hidden puzzles, for collecting which you can unlock an additional story section.
  • Level Maker with Steam Workshop support - create your own levels, publish to the workshop and play other users' levels

The demo includes:

  • 16 levels (4 levels from each chapter)
  • Two difficulty modes: Normal and Hard mode
  • Practice mode to practice the levels if you encounter difficulties.

I ask platformer fans to play and rate my game, I'd be happy to hear your feedback.
The full game was released a few months ago and is currently on sale, so if you like the demo and want to buy the game - you have a great opportunity to buy it for 30% cheaper.
