Reminds me of Smash TV. Crazy to see how far technology has become to see games like these be play in a browser. Very nice

Very nice take on a classic! Plays very smooth and interesting to see the ball get smaller.

No worries, sent you a friend request on discord! DJKNITEX#0873

Sent!

Yoo I am getting mad 90's comics style (mainly Doug/old classic nicktoons) feel from this. Do you have a discord to follow up?

Don't want to be rude and take away from OP; but if you don't hear back I would love to talk to you about your art if you're available!

Hello guys, this is our first time doing a VN jam (as well as making a VN in general) but we are looking for a core artist to join our team for this year's jam!

Controls are pretty wonky; nice take on the theme, reminds me of toy story. I do get a web browser error when clicking settings and it looks like it gets stuck

Yo the graphics are awesome!

I don't know what a Fago is but I like the commodore 64 style looking game. Is this playable on an actual C64? haha

Yo I like it. I like the art and gameplay. Spooky. Also nice interpretation on the word BUG

Interesting game; movement mechanic feel very bug like!

Man of course we did.... lol

You walk towards the monsters

Thanks! We're not game engineers by trade as we are more corporate developers so this is the only time where we can work together and build something so its hard for us to be able to implement the things we want but we're always learning every year.

Thanks! That's the point of the game; bugs are so easy to kill in real life so you have to hope to RNGesus that your battles are good. (the game is so short, you'll one win for sure)

Ahh thanks! That works; I was close lol. Your boilerplate is great I'm using it for Game Off 2021. Might continue to make more games with this once I become more familiar with rot.js

I'm going through the pdf to try and add more  monsters and it says to add them into an array; which when I console.log it originally, it looks like It goes into an array but when I do this; the game breaks:  while I can move the game doesn't really do anything and I can't see the monster that  I added to the array

thoughts?

Unreleated question but do you have hints/tips on how to get damage numbers to appear on screen like shown in Asterogue?

I don't think renderStats() is working for me. Every time I take damage or pick up coins the stats doesn't get re-rendered

I fixed it. I just ended up putting renderStats when I take the damage because it was only calling every time I pick up the coins

Hey this wasn't bad; I like the Atari/c64 graphics and gameplay. I dig it.

I like the art and animation. It felt the intro was a little too long but it was a neat game to play!

Interesting! I like the pacman looking sprites lol

Dang, this game was hard but it was pretty fun;

Very interesting game! I wonder if I can play on the new C64 MAX lol

Thanks!

Thanks! First time doing game dev and it was fun. Lua wasn't too hard to learn but I'm planning on doing another project with pico-8 since the fantasy-console idea is pretty cool (got a RPI3 just for this reason). Didn't have time to add music since I was away for vacation and I'm treating this game as a stepping stone of what I could achieve.

Your game looks fun; I'm about to try that out!
