Wow, this captures the sound of outer realms perfectly, ominous, majestic and irrational at the same time. Loved it!

Wow, what a powerful arrangement! Really loved this, it could be easily in a movie score, nice job!

really nice work! I really liked the grooviness of the first track and the immersive vibe of the second one. Good job!

thanks for the feedback! in Valhalla supermassive the main things that change the reverb are the various models and how they interact with the warp and density knob, so try to experiment with the different models with no warp and no density and then try them with higher warp and density in order to find what sounds best for you (the feedback knob is also important but that works like any other delay plugin)

Really high quality work, both in the production and composing departments. I especially loved the lush sounds of Synchronize and the long reverb in Proclaimed Architect that gives the piece a feeling of nice distant memories.

I also liked UPROOTED, but after hearing three tracks that feature a lot of reverb and wideness this last one felt kind of thin, especially in the lead instruments. I know it's a complex piece and too much reverb could ruin everything, but i think a little more reverb on the lead instruments at 00:36 and 02:47 could help. Maybe the issue with those sounds being thin could also be solved by cutting the higher frequencies of the reverb and adding some more stereo separation, but i might be wrong and there could be better ways to do this.

Anyway, this is still an oustanding work and the last track still sounds really good on its own, i was just nitpicking a little, lol

spacey mood? check

psychedelic groove? check

clean production and mixing? you could eat off it

gorgeous moment to reflect on life in the middle? oh yes

nothing to nitpick, really. Great job!

Really nice song, it really put me in that magical moongazing mood. You did a great job on the vocals, but mix wise i thought they could've been a little wider and fuller in some sections. I noticed that you already used doubled recordings for the background vocals, so i guess you could do the same for the main vocals (you could also add a take sung an octave lower for more body), but i know it can be really hard to sing multiple takes and get them all right, so this is just a suggestion for when you'll develop the song more. Also, in the section starting at the 2 minute mark, i think you could either lower the guitar or boost the vocals a bit, because it's kind of difficult to focus on the vocals this way. Great job overall and good luck on continuing this song!

thanks for the feedback! About the chirps, i think it's mainly because they are arranged in an 8 bar loop where i tried to put them in random places while still maintaining a sense of flow with the rhythm, then i automated volume and panning in a sort of random pattern that loops every 16 bars. I think that's how i managed to make them sound random and intentional at the same time. Really glad you appreciate this subtle detail!

very cool mix of genres here. I can hear Baroque, classical, early jazz, more contemporary jazz, "sitcom music" (like FoxHyode pointed out) and a nice amount of avantgarde-ism that remains coherent and intelligible. This is something that i unfortunately don't hear very often, nice work

Very nice sounds and creative production. I've read your response to a soundcloud comment where you explained how you created this MIDI snippet by automating the speed on an arpeggiator and i was really wondering how could someone come up with something like that lol. Nice work.

In new york I milly rock, hide it in my sock - Ehrm... jokes aside, this is a really nice, simple but beautiful sounding piece of music that really sets up a nice mood, good work! Making vst orchestral instruments sound realistic is pretty hard, but if this could help you in Fl studio you can automate parameters directly inside of a pattern's piano roll by clicking "edit events in piano roll" instead of making an automation clip. In my opinion is so much easier to draw automation that way especially when constantly moving around dynamics and expression faders is so important for making vst instruments sound real. You can also link the parameter to a midi mod wheel and record the automation yourself in real time, then edit it later. Hope this helps!

i really liked a lot of the harmonic movement in this piece, but in some melodic section the melody sounded too repetitve at times, with the only exception being the first melody (0:09 - 0:43). If the other melodies followed a structure a little more similar to the first one i think they would've sounded better. Nice work overall!

Really interesting experiment, not gonna lie. The bah's sound very full and close to the listener while the big choir chords create a nice contrast in scale. I don't really see any clear connection to the theme, but you made something pretty fun and cool and that works for me, honestly lol

Very heroic melody and orchestration, but i think you could've done a better job at mixing so that it would sound more realistic. Good job overall!

really captures the serenity of a spring morning, nice work! I wish it was a bit longer because i felt that it could develop more, but since everyone here, including myself, has encountered time problems, i can understand it.

big thanks for your advice!

thanks for the feedback, every now and then i'm listening again to these pieces and definitely recognize the issues you pointed out. I will try my best to improve on this aspect

Can't believe you actually made all of this in just 1 week all alone, it's mindblowing, really. It's clear that you have a ton of experience and musical knowledge and you're showcasing it in the best of ways here. "A lively catch" and "Please don't touch the electronics" were definitely the highlights for me, but i was still very impressed by the atmosphere you managed to create in the darker tracks thanks to your creative sound design. Amazing work, i hope this reaches the top 10 so that the judges can hear this too! (Also, the DAW screenshots are amazing lol)

such high quality, man, you could tell me this was from a AAA game and i wouldn't have any doubts about it, it's really well produced at the point that it sounds hypnotizing, really great stuff!

Love this type of groovy jazzy music a lot, and you did a fantastic job at making me vibe like crazy. Great work!

You don't need to upload this on any streaming service yourself because it's going directly on the jam's compilation album! (no, seriously, consider uploading it somewhere because it's really really good). I'm in awe seeing how you made something of such high quality in just a week, it's really inspiring for me! The first 2 tracks are my favorites, i will definitely keep "Calm before the storm" on the background while doing other stuff, it's such a nice vibe.

I really enjoyed the storytelling and the compositional aspect of the pieces, but i think the production and sound design could be better. Some ear candy would have helped the tracks stand out more, too. I can't blame you, though; making this much music in 1 week is a great feat and i'm sure that if you had more time you would've added the nice final touches to the music. Great work overall!

I have an identical figure of Buddha next to my desktop too lol! The music sounds pretty nice, too, but i agree with what the others said in the comments about the tracks sounding too similar

I appreciate it! The 2nd track i'd say is rushed mainly because i would have preferred it to be longer with some other melodic sections (the second half turned out pretty cool but it was more of a fast and cheap way to make the track a bit longer).

If you're interested in the chord progression of the 1st track, it goes like this:

First theme:

AbM7 (the very first time in the piece it's a Cm7 instead)| Bbm7 - Am7 - E7 | Eb7 | Fm7

F# | B7 | Bbm7 | Eb7

Second theme (the bossa nova one):

FM7 | Gm7 | AbM7 | Eb

Dm7 | Am7 | GbM7/Bb | C7

The second time (before the first theme comes back again) the last 2 chords are Bbm7 | Eb7 instead

erm...ahh...never heard of it! (I forgot to mention it lol, thanks for pointing it out)

I really like the vibe honestly, even if it's not that "ambience" because of the thin sound design. The thing that actually bothers me a bit is that it's too much repetitive

really clean, immersive and good sounding piece. Not much more to say, really, i just saved it so i can have it in the background later, really impressive work! (except that wind crashing sound that you're talking about, which is kind of too loud)

Sounds really nice and cinematic, but i think it could be more subtle and less busy, especially considering the theme is ambience, pretty nice music nonetheless

Wow, this gave me chills! It really sounds like desolation at its finest. Because of that, though, i think it doesn't really sound like a frozen waste anymore and more like waste of a village after a brutal war, but still, it sounds amazing!

I like how this sounds so immersive, but i think the muddy and wide sounds kill a little bit of this immersion. It almost feels like i'm actually in the setting you're creating, but the low sounds make it feel like it's all a dream or a simulation. I do understand that maybe that wasn't your goal, since, after all, all of this sounds really good (i could let it loop indefinetely and enjoy the vibe for a long while), i'm just expressing what direction i think the music could've taken instead.

The picture this paints is so clear and desolate: i felt cold myself at a certain point. Although this is an ambience jam, I think you could've added some sparse melodic elements here and there to keep it more interesting without distracting the listener too much (i kind of expected to hear something like a flute embellishment in the distance or a celesta hitting a couple of notes). pretty good stuff nonetheless

the first minutes remind me of something you could hear in Zelda Breath of the Wild while exploring snowy areas. The piano at the end it think could've worked better if it was a little less melodically busy, a bit quieter and with a wider stereo image. Other than that, good job!

I can already hear some of this in a national geographic episode about antarctica or something similar. Really ominous and icy soundscape, nice work!

after some days have passed i agree that i maybe went too far with the bitcrushing and should have reduced some high frequencies, but i was held back by the idea of preserving the crunchy old console sound. About Qoltketh's theme, its purpose was sounding uncomfortable, but not as painful as it turned out. Thanks for the feedback!

Looking at your DAW screenshots always scares me lol. It's always clear that you put a lot of effort in your work and it definitely pays off everytime! Amazing tracks, i personally liked the second one a lot

This is just absurd, the way you managed to arrange all these sounds into a banger like this with such good effects, too! Really the only things i didn't quite like were the melodic guitar parts, i think that the restraint of using the motif held you back from going completely nuts with the sounds, which i think is the best part of your music.

Still, it was an absolutely crazy experience listening to this, loved it!

I always felt like i wasn't good at drum beats, so hearing this was really nice, thank you!

I was geniunely laughing while listening to this, it's so hilarious and hysteric and wonky. I loved it! I should add that the mixing is not just good but very creative too.

the groove is immaculate, really puts a smile on my face. I would just make some slight adjustments to the mixing because sometimes the melody instrument feels isolated from the rest of the arrangement.

Amazing tracks guys! The arreci boss theme especially is a really powerful and exciting track, i liked it a lot!
