Thanks for the encouragement. I made a quick video flip-through of the book. Please ignore my awkwardness as a novice content creator, I will get better haha. I'll post the video here and it will be linked on the main project page.  -Michael

Hey, thanks for the interest in our game. You are totally right in saying it looks like Cthulhu mixed with Mork Borg. MB is a big inspiration with its streamlined, rules-light system. We wanted to apply that design philosophy to the mystery genre. It is a pet peeve of mine that mystery games tend to get bogged down in mechanical minutiae when they don't have to be.

Let me try and address your questions: The fragility of your Investigators is very real and something the team will have to play around. There is a sanity system. In WOS we call it Insight, and it is a dual-sided stat that both helps and hinders you.

I have been meaning to do a flip-through of the book for anyone to watch and get a better idea of the game. I am sure we can work something out if you are intrigued by the game. You are welcome to reach out: deathcapstories@gmail.com

Greetings Investigators,

Thank you for all the support we have received for this game during the Playtest period. This project has put us through a wild ride, but we are happy it is coming to a close for now. We have been working on Whitechapel for more than a year and in multiple countries. Sections were developed in the UK and others in the US. It is our biggest project yet, with over 100 pages of horror RPG content for your viewing pleasure. We have many more projects already in the works, because the grind never stops here. But for now... we will see you in the fog-laden streets of London.

We at Death Cap Stories wish everyone a happy Halloween.

Thank you all for the support on Playtest 3. We would like to honor the following Investigators for their sacrifice.

  • Benjamin Haberdash
  • Bernard Bishop
  • Doctar Smiff
  • Jean Piliu

Greetings Investigators,

This is the home of any and all discussion regarding Playtest 2. Please feel free to comment on the playtest. All contributions will be credited in the final release.

Thank you all for the support on Playtest 1. We would like to honor the following Investigators for their sacrifice.

  • Hugo Trudeau - Gunner
  • Madu Osirei - Occult Master
  • Webbly Fisher - Butcher

Perhaps a Death Cap Stories TFOF creation is in order. As a fan, it sounds like a fun time.

Hello,

Under the 1. section you roll 3d6 and whichever minion you get determines a stat increase. Same with section 2. Based on the brew's roll you gain stat bonuses. However, I did forget to include HP generation. I'll be updating the little game shortly.

Hopefully that helps, thank you for your comment.

-Michael

Thanks.
