I'm the lead developer, an experienced software developer with 10+ years in the business.

I've teamed up with Maroon who is an awesome graphic designer (https://maroondrops.itch.io/, https://tidehead.itch.io/eve-of-echoes)

with FlexingWaffle22 who is a talented music composer (https://theflexingwaffle.bandcamp.com/),

and with Сыч an amazing 2D artist (https://www.tumblr.com/owlarick)

I've developed and published a VNish game on steam in case you are interested in what I can do from the programming side (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2448910/Pixel_PI/).

The game we want to make: We ultimately want to make something unique, we are discussing making the game about a paranormal investigation with meta progression, with relationship building as a game mechanic. We are possibly doing it on renpy, although unity is still an option, but I am able to handle everything on the programming side so there's no need to worry about it.
We are aiming for a smallish in scope game but very polished in all aspects.

We are looking for a hands-on visual arts director to come up and enforce a vision throughout all visual aspects of the game, and draw the characters.

Pixel P.I. is a detective game with the novelty of being able to process natural language to interact with text written by the player. One of the main features of the game consists of unlocking statements by asking natural language questions.

The protagonist of the game is Pixel, a hacker detective girl who lost her memories and is going through a list of old cases to hopefully find information about her recent past.

You can play the demo for a limited time at https://crischu.itch.io/pixel-pi

Me too! Hope you enjoyed my take on it.

I wanted everyone to be able to enjoy it but also give a challenge to those who wanted it, so I decided to create different difficulty levels.

I'm glad you liked it! Was it too easy on the hard difficulty?

Regarding the inhale/exhale mechanic, this applies only to some of the breathing techniques, which do something while exhaling and something else while inhaling. For instance the ocean breathing gives attack and attack speed during exhaling and healing and defense during inhaling. Also the volcano breathing blocks your normal attacks and launches all your attacks at once during exhale.

Thank you for the kind comment! I agree about the art-style, I'm always looking for artists to collab with as my games always lack in that department.

Incredible visuals, would you be interested in collaborating with me in a future game jam? My games always lack visually I have to admit.

I hope you enjoyed it! I plan to make it a fully fledged game out of this, which would be much more balanced but also allow you to synergize to become very powerful. I also plan to include different characters and of course more weapons, enemies, items, etc.

Thank you!

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks for the feedback. What do you mean you can't choose some stats?

That was fun! Congrats

This game looks amazing, if you are interested in working together let me know!

Cool! It reminded me of inscryption

I'll have to try it on Edge, the code is simple, your velocity vector gets multiplied by 1.03, the only thing that could have gone wrong is that it got applied more than one time. Thank you.

Thanks!

Thank you!

I love how you tackled the theme, the voice lines were so funny!

Cute graphics and sounds, the game is fun and engaging but a little slow.

Very cute graphics and sounds! And the gameplay is fun!

Thanks for the feedback!

Oh I didn't knew you could do that, that's great! I'll try it.

I haven't found of heard about that speed bug, on which browser/OS did you play?

Thanks for letting me know either way!

Thank you! This is the first time I hear about the gold, I wonder if some people never notice that. Good to know for future updates!

Thank you!

That's true, thank you!

I hope you are able to finish it! I'm really proud of how the bosses turned out.

Awesome!

Cool

Such a lovely game! Cute graphics and music.

Such a fun concept and cute game!

It was interesting, I like the grappling hook mechanic, but I experienced some camera movement bug where I couldn't rotate enough.

I think so too, thank you!

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you!
