Thanks for playing! I agree about the hunger mechanic. It was the very last thing added and I ran out of time before I could balance it haha.

It's fun, but three things stood out to me that made it less fun or at least feel like it was missing something.
1. Since you might die often, it was a bit inconvenient not having a "Play Again" button or something
2. No visual feedback for hitting an enemy. I think a flash red or something like that could go a long way
2. Upward thrust feels great, but the linear velocity of falling down seemed kind of off for me. I think I just expected at least a little bit of downward acceleration when not going up.
I actually like the art by the way. Maybe some details in the walls and stuff would help, but the enemies and character seemed good to me.
Hey, thanks so much for playing and for leaving such a detailed comment. This info is very helpful. I agree that it's too easy right now, I had it too hard and then made a finally adjustment before submitting. I have some ideas though on how to make it harder, but also more strategic in order to get past the really hard fights.
I'm also contemplating having a set length instead of the game being endless. So if you have any thoughts regarding that, I'd love to hear them.
Awesome game! My only critique is that even though the various enemies look different from each other, they all seem to have the same amount of health and somewhat similar movement. I haven't gotten too far, so maybe that changes, but it's just something I noticed. The art, music and general theme are all great though.
Spent a few hours each week for the past three weeks making this. It has some balance issues still, and is probably too easy, but I think the idea is solid. Any feedback is welcome!
