Hello, I originally planned to let players figure out the controls on their own and made a few hints such as game's objectives to keep them from getting stuck

Hi everyone!

Just released an early access demo and I’m currently gathering feedback for my game, A Purrfect Moment, and I would love to hear your thoughts to help refine and polish the experience. Whether  you played through a quick run or  spent some time exploring, your inputs make a huge difference!

If you haven't tried it yet, you can download and play it here: https://cjoneshevun.itch.io/a-purrfect-moment

The game demo is only available on Windows for now.

I would like to hear your thoughts on the gameplay, specifically:

  • How did the progression feel? Were there any moments that felt frustrating, overly difficult, or confusing?
  • How well do the textures, map design, and color choices communicate the mood and theme of the game?
  • Do character animations and visual cues feel smooth, natural, and satisfying during movement and interactions?
  • Did the main interactions feel satisfying, and clear throughout your session?

Feel free to drop your thoughts, bug reports, or suggestions in the comments below. Thank you so much for taking the time to play and share your feedback!

Hello , a major update has appeared. I've just released an early access of the game. Just made a windows build for now and currently testing it in Linux. I would like some feedback regarding to the gameplay!

Note
This release is not yet a full game and expect some bugs/glitches as it is still in development phase.

Hello everybody,
Just a quick update for my state of the game. Rethought about the main menu design and had many iterations. After a full day, i went to experiment and came up with this.

Then i tried to use transitions for the camera. Once you start the game, the camera pans slowly to the player's POV. I also worked the new map Studio and its almost finished.

What do you guys think about the current main menu design?

Hi all,

New update about my progress. There are few things added in the game that makes it 10% of my progress.

Okay, the first few things i added is the new map Studio and laptop interface:

[Unfinished] The Studio

The Studio will serve as the player hub, players will able to view their inventory, buy items & upgrades, view and accept quests from clients

Viewing the laptop interface

The laptop interface was added as a way to get quests from clients. Every quests has an info about what type of cat photos requested, the location, and number of photos needed. As you can see it has a difficulty system. I made it random per quests and it influences the cat AI behavior. For example, cats are slower and less likely to flee on easy. On Hard, its much more harder to capture photos of them.

Almost forgot about Rewarding System, it grades all your photos and evaluate your performance. Lower score means lower pay. If your photos are mostly decent, then they'll reward you more than they offered from the selected quest.

Its been a while since i post a second Devlog..

Created a few 3d models and the map is almost finished. I've been thinking the art direction for this game since this game is focused on capturing photos. I've been looking for more on stylized look.

This is my first iteration for the map (The park) and here are the few samples

Im developing this in godot

Hi All,

Made a quick update on my Photography game. I have now thought a title for the game; "A Purrfect Moment". This game will focus more on cats + cameras. You must capture a photo of stray cats wandering around the park, but be fast as they flee once they get their sights on you.

I also made a ranking system based on angle, and distance. But still working on it..

Ohh, your idea is pretty close to what I had in mind😅 and I already started working on it.. but I like the idea of taking multiple shots to capture a moving animals. thanks for the suggestion!

Making a game about photography, capturing moments and scenery.
I've been playing with this image capturing mechanic and thinking some ways to improve it.
