Thank you! I'm really happy with how this one turned out :D

Really unique game for the soccer theme, and pretty fun too. This is one of the more replayable games I've tried which deserves kudos on that fact alone!
I found it quite hard to actually click on the small ball in order to input movement commands, I personally would have enjoyed it more if I could click and drag anywhere to register my input command, so i could focus on the various obstacles rather than clicking on the ball that's getting pushed and pulled in all sorts of directions. That may be a personal preference though.
Overall, really nice entry
Yeah I think I agree dashing to damage enemies would break the meta a bit. I wonder if there are other things you could do, maybe dashing into the ball makes it bounce like crazy... but somehow limit how often the player can do that? I'm not sure, but I think there's definitely scope to create some really fun and interesting interactions :D
I really like the atmosphere of this game, the music and the visuals work really well together! And the camera movement is really interesting too, feels fluid.
Similar to someone else's comment, I found the "double press" to dash really easy to accidentally activate. But i like the little cooldown indicator, that is clean.
On my second run I managed to squeeze the ball out of the room and it never came back haha, before I even had 1 score xD So a little bug there.
Overall I really like it though!
Suggestions to make it even better:
- Add some sort of visual effects when you destroy an enemy, like little particles or something <3
- Perhaps dashing through enemies could also destroy them? But that would defeat the main objective of using the ball as your weapon.
Really nice concept! It requires a bit more brainpower than I was expecting haha so although it's not my favourite type of game, I can still really appreciate the game for what it is. The user input worked really well. The different players having different stats is nice. And the enemy movements feel very natural :D
Honestly I think your thumbnail might have let you down a bit because the game is very well made! Even a screenshot of the in-game soccer field would be more enticing than your microsoft paint drawing haha I mean that in the nicest way!
I would guess that you are at the beginning of your game dev journey, so I want to say good work on what you have put together here. The ball attacks work nicely and the 'ricochet' mechanic where the ball bounces between enemies is nice. Also, if you made the player asset yourself, nice work, he looks good!
In my playthrough, the enemies didn't apply any damage to me, so it was impossible to lose. And even if they could damage me, the difficulty was very easy.
So my suggestion for next time would be:
- allow the player to actually lose somehow
- add some audio or visual feedback when the ball hits an enemy to make it more satisfying for the player
Absolutely love it! I found it really satisfying to play! Top marks!
I think one enhancement would be to add some sort of challenge that would require some more challenge or strategy to get a high score for the leaderboard. After playing for about 5 mins, I'm still not sure how to see the leaderboard, and I assume the high scores are simply whoever plays for the longest time gets the highest score?
Still, this is a super entry! <3
Thanks for the feedback! To be honest I assumed more people would have commented on the theme association 😅
I feel like I've taken the core rule of soccer, kicking a ball around, and then used it in a completely different context.
Although I understand where you're coming from, I don't think the game would be as charming if it were a literal football with literal soccer players running around, so I was happy to take the risk :D
Honestly a really nice game - 5's all round, except gameplay: 4.
Like others have said, I think perhaps you were too ambitious with the number of different features and cards. If you had fewer gameplay elements but they were executed a bit smoother, this would have been perfect! But still, it's an awesome idea, pretty unique, I really liked it.
I really like the cup-head inspiration (I assume). Good work on putting this together in 3 days.
I would agree with the other comment that it's actually very difficult. I think the control scheme isn't very intuitive, and having to manage moving, jumping and shooting with one hand is not easy at all, and on top of that you must dodge the enemy attacks :o
I think if there were fewer gaps between clouds, the player could focus more on attacking and dodging with intention - that would probably feel a bit better.
Still, good effort overall
Super wee game! Love the visuals, and the retro music! The gameplay is intentionally simple, and it's pretty effective.
A small piece of feedback from me would be to add a bit more interactivity for the player, something that makes it feel more fun, like a power up of some sort, or perhaps they would actually have to kick the ball every so often to keep it rolling.
But overall this is superb, very impressed <3
The sound, visuals, and polish are fantastic! Definitely one of the best.
However, like others have said, it extremely hard to actually play, which is a very important part of any game. Still, amazing work for only 3 days, I could definitely see this being published as a full game with a tutorial, progressive difficulty, maybe some sort of power ups. It's really great!
Love the visuals a lot! I agree with the other comment that it's very difficult to know when you are supposed to press your input.
After several attempts I only correctly hit about 2 moves, and it was awesome to see the player doing tricks. With more obvious visual or audio cues, this would be absolutely fantastic! Even still, I think it's very good
I really like this game, 5 stars across the board from me! It's the most replay-able one I've played.
There's one small bit of feedback though, i was using the mouse control to kick the present, which means when I lose (and i'm still frantically clicking) I accidentally skip the leaderboard submission by clicking the play again button lol.
That is totally a 'me' problem, but perhaps it's something to be aware of in future lol
