For a browser version? Or Android?
Android is still in development.  However, the webgl & itch.io implementation is just incompatible with the type of stuff in the game, unfortunately.

I wrote a while back that yes, Dr. Brain WILL be in 'Date Time'. :)

I sent a request weeks ago to itch.io and they never got back to me on access to CSS, so I'm not sure if there's a solution out of that, and it doesn't seem like itch.io themselves prioritizes this.

Hi, I was about to post my own thread about this.

Itch.io already has the ability to detect links on their platform, and indicate where they are coming from.  I value comments on my page, I don't value people spamming links from malicious sources to it.

I could even go as far as saying there should be a whitelist that a developer can control, for instance, because I do appreciate people who leave feedback via a youtube video of my work.

But at the very least, you should be able to give developers the tools to prevent a comment of posting a link onto our comment page.

I think Mac only keeps your last 'block app' in memory for a short period of time, so open the app again and then immediately go to the settings to check it.

If that doesn't work, it could be a myriad of things, including if you have admin access to the Mac or some other issue that I'm not aware of.

Again, if the problem persists, you can always use Steam or the Itch.io Game Launcher.

Mac will usually allow opening of games downloaded from either of them.

First, run the demo and receive the error again.  Then, go to your settings and under "Privacy & Security" there should be something like 'Date Time Demo' was blocked to protect your Mac.  There should be a button next to it that says 'Open Anyway' and Mac should run the app from now on without any issues.

More info: https://support.apple.com/en-us/102445

However, if you are still unsure about running the individual app file, you can always play the game through Steam or Itch.io Launcher, and Mac will not block those connections.

Apple will always block apps from developers they do not have in their database.  A lot of smaller game creators don't really upload their stuff to Apple's app stores, so that's probably why Apple blocks a lot of different games you are trying to play.

The Mac Operating system sometimes blocks unsigned apps from playing.   Please use either the itch.io launcher or adjust your privacy & security settings.

You can also download the demo on Steam, which also works on Mac without any adjustment to privacy & security settings:

Wow, that's crazy, I'm super flattered!

I'm also now self conscious about how I draw mouths lol

Unfortunately, due to technical limitations of the webgl protocol on itch.io, the Date Time demo has to be featured on non-web hardware.

I am trying to get an Android version working eventually.

Thank you, that means a lot!

Hi Skeleton Dude,

I have just seen a stream where the game cuts to black and soft locks after the scrolling credit sequence.  Is this your error as well?

If so, please submit a report about what platform you played the game on, what you did that may have led to that error and also your computer specs so that I can further investigate the problem.  Thank you!

Submit it through the email form here:

Hi FoShoShot!  Thanks for playing my game.

I took a glance at your playthrough, it seems you bumped into a fatal error near the end of your playthrough that was met to a blank screen.  I haven't seen the error at all in any testing or streams yet, and would be interested in learning more about how you got the error.

If you can, please send an email through this link: https://www.cattrigger.com/links

Describe to me your specs, OS, and what platform you played the game on and if there was anything weird that might've happened prior to that error.

Noted.  Will adjust content warning.  Thanks for bringing it up.

Thanks!  Let me know if it works or not.

Sometimes, MacOS considers Unity Apps that are not attached to an app store (such as Apple Store, Steam or Itch.io's own app) as unauthorized.  You should be able to adjust your settings so that any app can run, or download the game from the official itch.io app store.

If that doesn't work, then let me know and I'll look into it.  Thank you!

Are you able to download the game through the itch.io app for Mac?

Sorry you're having trouble.  What's the error?

Date Time uses an amped-up animation system that makes scenes cinematic and dynamic, but unfortunately, that system is not supported by itch.io's webgl.

The game is available on any modern computer system, be it Mac, Windows or Linux.

Send a reel to https://www.cattrigger.com/links

Hey, thank you for playing!  Love your playthrough!

An Android Version is in the works, but there is not ETA for it.

Be sure to check out the demo for "Date Time" - https://cattrigger.itch.io/date-time

There will be multiple endings in the full version of the game.

Thanks so much!  :D

My bad on the text, a bit of an oversight, since the option was a straggler from an older project.

Text on the newest update has been standardized into one size for this game since its default size is integral to all the text boxes.  If the updated version still has the big text, go back to the older version you have and set it to normal and then switch, OR follow my directions on the changelog.

Sorry about the confusion, a shame the Ada notes screwed up for you on stream!

Thank you again, Goopy!  I'm happy you enjoyed it :)

By the way, I also just noticed that some parts are auto skipping for you.  I noticed it in the email section and Ada's letter especially.

That shouldn't be happening.

But I am wondering, did you adjust the size of the text in your settings?  What's your resolution setup?

Yes, sorry about that.  A fix will be coming very soon for people who try to access PETya before accessing any of the Date Time software.

Oh, I see it.  thanks for letting me know about that.  A fix will be present later tonight.

Awesome! Thanks for the update!

You should have the option to download the demo on the main steam page, I have it confirmed that it is available for Mac.

But I can check if there may be problems.

Sorry about the inconvenience!

Do you have certain security settings that may prevent you from running an app not specifically from an app store?

You may also want to try downloading it from Steam if you're having trouble with your app settings. - https://store.steampowered.com/app/2313010/Date_Time_Melissa_Morris_Anna/

This is based on the app named "Mac_DateTimeDemoVer2_final.app"?

Thank you for the info!

Where are you getting this message?

Hello, in terms of a voice actor, are things like barks / chirps / occasional dialogue okay, or would you need it so that a Voice speak the entirety of the dialogue that's presented?

One example is something like the voice actor saying "Hello, I'm Bob."  And the dialogue presented is "Hello, I'm Bob.  The manager of this joint."

Hi Violetcloud!

Sorry you're going through that.

Are you able to export the game to a base drive directory?  Such as "C:\DateTimeGame" ?

Thank you!  Let me know if there's any updates on your end.  It would be curious as to why the error persists for you.

Forgive my aloofness on this, webgl is basically an export on my end, I don't really know how Unity converts my scripting to it.

I can cart around to see if others are more familiar with this type of error you're having.  I don't know the capabilities of BSD-based systems with webgl, so I wouldn't know if switching browsers away from a chromium browser would work either. :\

There shouldn't be anything different in that scene to how I am loading other scenes in the game.  Even the post-processing effects in the game have basically been on since the game starts.

Is this the FIRST stairs sequence or the SECOND?  The SECOND does introduce an animated overlay that may be taxing to older PCs.

I have tested this game on a firefox browser using an arch linux machine, but haven't been able to try it on other OSes outside of Mac, Windows, and Android.

Sorry to hear you have problems with the game!

Can you describe what platform you're running the game on?  Does the game just close, or does something else happen when you begin the section?
