Well done on this one. Good use of the limited mechanics and great progression into teaching them. I wish there was more use of the green mushroom, perhaps adding it as a placable mushroom or just a handful of levels. Even with that, this is a great game!

Cool concept using the theme. Not much use of the limitation. I like the idea of trying to pick the right mushroom by telling minute differences, it’s actually pretty hard, and I appreciate that.

Beautiful game! The sensitivity is really high and I had to restart the game to have enough time to read the instructions. Also, I had to intentionally lose to see what the broken time aspects were. But the visuals certainly made up for that. I adore the 2D-in-3D style and the use of the special object was great. The gameplay wasn’t easy and I actually really enjoyed the scramble for getting green ones. I almost wish the time to grab them was shorter, would’ve added more chaos and rush to it. I would’ve loved to see the people turn good as I grabbed green ones, instead of just laughing. Great game you got here!

Good use of actually using the player’s microphone, I expected to see more of this during the jam but I haven’t seen it done much. Not sure where the broken time aspect came into play. I appreciate the different world shards, but the fights have no variation and I was disappointed when I made it to 50 of 50 and then all that happened was I couldn’t move. Overall, pretty good

Some genuinely tricky puzzles. I made it to level 8 and then when I got to the end I just fell out of the map. Also, it was hard to tell when a box was in the foreground or the background.

But aside from that, the gameplay and concept is great! Amazing use of the special object and the theme. Well done on this one, one of my favs of the jam.

Great concept! I’m not so sure what the clock you switch the time is for. It feels like I’m just going to a random time, inserting the card, pressing the microphone button, and then I either get it or don’t because of something I had no idea about.

It’s a nice and cute lil game. I like that the microphone was implemented as a collectible, totally never occurred to me as something to be found.

I absolutely love the design of the deity-figure, and the overall vibe of the game is absolutely amazing. It’s not immediately clear what blue cards do, which I actually really liked. Aside from trying to get what patience was doing, that was not easy to figure out that it slowed enemies in the earlier waves.

The audio seems to break pretty quickly.

Doesn’t seem to be any microphone I can see, but the idea of firing into the past and the future is great.

In later eras I keep hitting the big, already slow monoliths with patience while they’re off-screen with piercing, and then I need to wait a minute for them to get close enough to be attacked.

Overall, it’s vibe is great.

Yeah, definitely. That goes for dealing damage too. By the end I was so ragged and the project was such a mess that it was more about just getting it done than making it fun.

I’m glad you enjoyed it! Your game was amazing, honestly none of us thought so much outside the box like you did.

Wow, what a great way to take the limitation. Genuinely wonderful game that brought me great gobbits of dopamine. Hard to get good at, feels like you’re rolling the dice more than making informed decisions, but with that music it was just the most chill experience ever and good fun.

Anything for you sweet cheeks~

Hey, so a team and I made a game for this jam and the concurrent mini jame gam (https://itch.io/jam/mini-jame-gam-29)

We made sure to follow the rules, themes, limitation, and special object from each jam.

Itch isn’t letting me submit the project to this one as well, however. Is there anyway I can submit the game in an alternative way?

Thanks! I’m actually so, so happy someone managed to play it all the way through, none of us have lmao.

Unfortunately, we have no plans for this game in the future. Honestly, I really hated developing this. The project is a complete mess. The last thing you see, “I needed to hear that,” was a reference to the fact I was so worn out by the end of it that I couldn’t wait to hear “Congrats, you’re done” and stop working on it.

I will, however, be doing at least 10 jams over the course of a year, starting about this month, but I’m aiming for 30! 2 are down, in the middle of a third. This game is definetly going to be at the bottom of the list of games I’m proud of during this year of jams.
If you’d like, I can update you with any future multiplayer or asymmetric muliplayer games I make. Or puzzle games if that’s what floated your boat about it.

Your game’s animation is incredible by the way! The background art is stunning, too. I didn’t have time after the jam to check out many other’s games, due to personal circumstances, but I’m trying to get better at it and I’m committed to trying at least a dozen out after the jam I’m doing right now.
