The truth is, the enemies were designed not to be a threat but more of a slowdown (at least, in the prototype), because the gameplay is supposed to be relaxing action.

Yes, it's a lot like Jerma... that's why our team decided to redesign it in the Final Update, along with adding quality of time changes, and additions here and there. Stay tuned for more! ^^

Unfortunately, not. That would require the whole game to be recreated on GBStudio. While a Gameboy-styled Android Mobile Port is on the makings, I don't know if I will ever plan to release "The Sweet Treats Man" as an actual GameBoy rom, although that would be cool!  

Oh... don't worry! In fact, "The Sweet Treats Man!" was a break of "Kolor-Blockz!" development. My big project's demo will launch this December. Stay tuned ^^

Here are my dudes. The murderous creepy villain called "The Sweet Treats Man!" and our silent boy protagonist called James. ^^

I am glad you liked the game. Yes, the truth is that it needs a bit of good timing and strategy to complete it. A pretty helpful tip is hide to the bush on the side the Sweet Treats Man left the screen, and after coming in again, as soon as he is away from you start investigating plants. You have to stay within the plant area - leaving it will automatically cancel the process.

Here is what proper functionality of the game shall go like :

Pressing Enter (aka START button) during the Intro shall take you to the Main Menu Screen. Pressing Shift (aka SELECT button) shall change your option. Once your darkened option is LOAD GAME, pressing Enter to confirm your selection shall stop the Main Menu Music and load the Opening Monologue of the Stage you died last time, after 2-4 seconds. (If the game has not created any save file yet, then the music shall remain off and nothing load, it's aimed to be an unnerving bug-feature).

If you managed to complete a stage (for example stage 1). Selecting "Load Game" from the menu shall take you back to Stage 2 where the game was saved.

This is a bug that might appear after the game saves your progress automatically (each time you beat a Stage). However, I don't know yet why is this happening, but if the bug appears on your system, just close and reopen the game, and load your save file from the menu. It will allow you to access the upper area of the stage. The bug appears, occasionally in Stage 3 too.

It seems to be an Engine's bug, because the code appears working perfectly in the Debug Process.

Simple Concept, yet quite entertaining to enjoy with a friend^^

Bloody New Year is a Virtual Escape Room Videogame Experience.

We will keep updating the game adding new things and new ideas we will come up with.

The game is about a mysterious almost genocidal incident happened on New Year's Eve long ago, when over a million families were found dead in front of their TVs. You accidentally appear on an old Company's Warehouse where by the help of listening to tapes, looking for tools and clues, you have 1 hour and 30 minutes to prevent the event from happening again, as you discover piece by piece the dark truth behind it!
