Chair Champions is quirky and fun. Like real like chair racing, it's harder than it looks and incredibly fun. There are objects you need to avoid, obstacles that change your speed (the rugs gets me every time!), a desire to win that drives you to take the risks necessary to cross the finish line first. With regular updates, you can tell the dev cares about player experience. This is a must have game for every library!

I love it!
I suck at ping pong though XD

It's improved so much since the prototype. It looks amazing! I couldn't figure out how to open the chests though...

Loving it!
Still wish attack wasn't X. Maybe the left mouse click instead?

The game feels really whole. I like the player controls.

I love the concept and the visuals. I think it has great potential. I actually liked that you had the name of the action above Cookie's head.

Some changes to consider:

  • The key mapping felt way off. I had to press random keys till I found the different actions. I would suggest Space for jump, E for interact or attack, and/or left mouse click for interact or attack. Q is another key that can be accessed easily.
  • Pressing Esc closed the game. I would have preferred a screen in between that gave me the option to resume or quit.

I love the concept and look of the game. The game feel doesn't hit the spot for me though.

Some suggestions:

  • Make the Kibwe's movement more sticky. He feels like he glides too much, and needs more drag to stop quickly. I was often moved too far. It needs to be move precise, especially for interactions and combat.
  • When Kibwe died the bat kept attacking, but I couldn't reset the level.
  • I don't like the key mapping... I suggest Space for attack and E for interacting

What I loved:

  • The little intro was cute. I like the chieftain's animation
  • I like the graphics and music
  • I like you menu options
  • I liked having the key instructions when the player loaded

I love the idea of a narrative driven game! I feel you need to really nail the visuals and the dialogue for this to work.

I like how well thought out your concept is. You've made a detailed plan, and explained everything really well.

Thanks! That's great advice.

Very interesting concept. It kinda gives me Stitch vibes, but Pippy is less destructive.

Thanks for the detailed response! I love the points you bring up. The derpy squirrel is the one I was going for. I like your concept of making Noggins both good and bad. It's a very interesting take on it, and not one that I had considered. I will definitely be discussing that with my team!

I am very excited about your game. I love the concept of trying to find out the truth, and helping your village along the way. You have well planned aesthetics, and a well planned production schedule. My only concern is the scope for a solo dev.

As a long time RTS fan, I am very excited to see your submission. I love the idea! I am concerned about the scope, though.

I love the idea of Cookie Bear collecting ingredients for the princess's birthday. I think it's lighthearted and fun. I would have liked to have read more about how you plan to make the game. I really liked the drawings of Cookie, but would have liked to have read about the situations he would need those abilities.

I love the concept of finding hats and using their abilities to return them to the owners. I can see an interesting dilemma of not wanting to return certain hats because they're more useful.
