Hey there! I love the vibes and controls for this project. The controls and UI were fantastic, I could really feel the weight of the mech and it really sold the experience of piloting a mech. However I also had trouble getting it to load in which wasn't prevalent until after the dialogue which is unskippable so I watched the intro about 4 times before I could play. Then the jump button broke the game. I ended up floating above some unreachable cell in the wall.
overall interesting project!

This a great entry! The soundtrack was absolutely my cup of tea and the crunchy isometric 3d style was fun! In enemy design the visuals were cool but they were kind of samey. Except for the flying enemy at the end, they all kind of run up to you and shoot in place. I also noticed the target didn't really follow what I was aiming at and the end screen froze for me.
Good stuff, I had fun!
This is absolutely insane for a two week jam title. Everything is just polished so well. I loved the little CRT for the minimap and the soundtrack was fantastic in every level. It's stylish to the max and I loved the build variety. I ended up meatmaxing and made it to floor 4 before I stopped. The malfunctioning radar was cheeky! it took a minute to figure out why I could no longer see my map LMAO. This is a fantastic entry and I could honestly see this doing pretty well on Steam. The UI was fantastic and not intrusive in any way. You guys absolutely smashed it!
I had a lot of fun! I was wowed by the amount of player options for a 2 week and some change jam. I really enjoyed the amount of choice available here. The mini map was great, although for level 2 I'd either hope for a smaller map with more enemies or indicators showing where they were since I spent a lot of time just wandering on that level. I'm also team mini rocket lmao, the soundtrack was great and I loved the enemy variety. I didn't grow up with this flavor of title but I can tell where you draw inspiration from and how much love was put into it. Great job! :)
Nice job on the jam! The setting and the art style is really unique. Going for an alt-history angle is clever!
Within the framing of a jam, it may have shone a bit more if you picked one character story and polished that up. I was also kind of confused on how to progress dialog without looking at the game page, on screen control tips or controls page on the main menu would have helped a lot.
I liked the visual effects and the shading on the art immensely! If there was a way to keep the VFX from obscuring the text I'd have no notes.
This is worth holding onto and polishing up a bit. I'm not sure what engine you used for this, the action segments are good, they just need a bit of TLC that you may have not had time for during the jam. An interval timer for the projectiles would go far. I also got stuck mid kick animation on the second story so I kind of hovered to victory XD. I had fun!
Thanks for taking the time to review us! I'm on the fence between the shotgun and the machine gun myself. Psi did a great job on the pixel art, they were practically an art factory in the last 4 days prior to submission. Do you have any juicing recommendations? This is psi's first jam ever and the first one I was able to allot any time to refinement so making things juicy and shiny is new to both of us.
Hello!
This is me and my buddy's first jam together. We both come from a coding background so we're looking for a pixel artist that would want to create some enemy and player assets, maybe a bit of level art and ui assets.
If you have any animation experience, even better. We're pretty laid back so expect a no crunch environment with a couple of fellow nersdski's.
This was a really cool experience. I love the atmosphere that was built through the art and sound direction and it had an awesome aesthetic overall. I love the story that's painted here and I'm definitely coming back to experience all of it
I made it to the second act, where I think I hit a bit of a pacing issue. I didn't fail a single roll in the first act but in the second, I couldn't succeed at all, even after buffing at every opportunity. Although this could just be that I wasn't playing smart, I'm unsure.
I love everything about this and would be thrilled to see this as a full release. Keep on making awesome stuff guys.
Thanks for playing our game! I'm glad you enjoyed yourself, Jonathan did such an amazing job with the music. I was telling him when adding the music to the scenes that it felt like getting punched in the face with tension and it startled me a bit even though I knew it was coming during development.
Thank you for the advice with the thumbnail image. I wasn't aware that scam or fake games were an issue plaguing game jams, so I went ahead and updated it. During development, I listened to quite a bit regarding the King in Yellow so I'm super excited to check ya'lls game out later.
Beautiful game, the soundtrack was dope and the snow particles were a fantastic touch. enjoyed the color changes. Wish I had a little more control in the gameplay loop, having some input on when the corners break would make it a bit more personal. The orange color shift was awesome. Keep up the good work guys. I also wanted to add, the browser build was kind of rough on my side, I had to use the download in order to experience the game.
