Hi there, thank you for taking the time to try the game and give us feedback, we are already working on fixing the controls and level design, we hope to release the improved version soon enough :)

I like the mechanics of the platforms that appear and the hidden messages to explain how it works. It's a well-developed game and it's enjoyable. I noticed a tiiiny glitch when pausing and jumping, you get the sound, and when out of the pause menu the jump happens (but that's really nothing). I like the aesthetic but I would try to find a balance because I don't know if I would be able to look at it very long, it might start to hurt the eye.
Well done! :)
Thank you for your message and constructive feedback! We are working on improving the points you talked about. I believe one of the flames in level 4-5 is actually hidden behind a wall at the very right part of the scene. We'll do our best to make the gameplay and puzzle a bit clearer to the player. We hope to release an improved version of the game soon enough :D
Really nice game you did there. The music is relaxing and I like the ambient sound that makes it more "forest-like". I like the theme and the fact you added background elements (painted trees, bushes, and clouds, etc). I like the light mechanics also, the upgrade possibility in-game, and the fact we can "crushé the bugs haha
I think it would be nice to add the possibility to play with the arrows, but it's not a real issue really. In the beginning, I think the dialogues are going too fast, it would be nice to let the sentence on screen and let the player decide when they want to go to the next sentence/line. Maybe it would be nice to explain somewhere what we should avoid and collect (but this was actually pretty straightforward. Also I would make the upgrade interface clearer in terms of "the user should click to choose an upgrade). The first time I opened it, I thought those were bonuses I could find in the game directly, but then I understood we could choose upgrades (but again, minor issue)
Well done!
Hello and thank you for your message! We are taking notes of your feedback that includes some issues we had also noticed and some others that have been highlighted by other players. The feedback truly helps us make this game better, we already started working on improving it and are planning on also improving the graphics and animations. We'll definitely also look into the sound management to make the overall experience better :)
Thank you SO MUCH for this very kind and very motivating message, we are definitely not stopping there. We are currently regrouping all the feedback we can get to improve the game and already started fixing some of the bugs and making the gameplay more intuitive. We plan on improving quite a few aspects of it (e.g. The graphics) and adding more content.
Again, thank you!
Hello and thank you for your feedback! As previously said, we are working on fixing the glitches and we are planning on making the first level easier and more intuitive. Since we have more time now, we'll be able to make sure the next version of the game is a lot more stable and that the graphics are more polished (animations included)
I'm glad you enjoyed the visuals and theme we set for this game. We are taking your feedback into account to improve the game and its playability. We'll try to make sure the level is clearer to the player and the first levels are a bit more simple to get used to the mechanics. We already started working on some improvements!
Thank you for your comment :)
Thank you so much for the feedback! We are already working on fixing and improving some of the issues you mentioned and we took notes of the other ones. Your comment is really motivating!
Also, unfortunately, we submitted two times the game by accident and our reviews are now split between the two pages. We're trying to move all the reviews from this current page to the original one. Could you please rate this game again and maybe copy paste your comment to this submission (The original submission) : https://itch.io/jam/bw-jam/rate/1012176 Thank you so much in advance for understanding and we hope it's not much of an inconvenience. Have a great day! :)

First of all, I really like the logo.
Nice that you have a multiplayer option and it's cool we can compete with 4 players or 3 bots. Gameplay was super fun, I'm gonna keep this to play with friends! Also, it's great that you implemented an option to get back on the road if stuck.
A small highlight around our character to identify it at the beginning of a race is the one thing that was missing, although it's not an issue with the camera focused on one car. And I really felt the urge to brake when turning but could not, that could be a nice addition!
Love the music, mechanics, ambiance, story, and graphics. The dialogues and the interface look super neat. Like the dialogues with "Ma" hahaha
The animations are looking great. Also, the fact of being able to "skip" the dialogue, or show the whole sentence in one go is such a nice small touch. Super intuitive, love the cinematics and the fact that there are different gameplays in the game itself (referring to the minigames part of the story).
Really a good job from the whole team!
Nice that you added settings and different difficulty levels/input methods.
It is a nice shooter game and I think the mechanics are well integrated. Really liked playing it with the mouse actually! Also, I like the variety of patterns and enemies.
However, I could not fully understand what the second bar was for (just a second health bar?) and I did not always understand what was an enemy and what was not, maybe a small explanation on the various items would be nice to clear that up
I reallyyy like the music (The one, in the beginning, makes me think of Little Nightmares and I love their soundtrack). I like the fact there is a narrative introduction with dynamic movement in comic style cinematic. I think some small tweaks regarding the font (less squished for example) or having a bigger, and closer to the character, indicator of health, could help with readability and gameplay experience, but those are minor issues. Like the comment below, I also experienced some bugs when it comes to attacking so I could not get too far either. And if you do work further on that, adding the possibility of skipping dialogues and a pause menu (Except if I just missed it, then my bad hehe) would be dope!
There seems to be quite a few content in there, Nice job!
