Puppet Master is a game inspired by Ragdoll Fights, a game back in the day me and my friends would binge play. Ragdoll fights was also only local multiplayer so we would have to share a keyboard which added to the fun and memories.

I am currently developing a game titled Puppet Master which is based on fighting the stupidity of our times...we do live in some interesting times.

My game will have multiplayer in the future, it is something i have already started working on. For now my main focus is on singleplayer though. I would like to get all the main characters in place first, i have a few characters that i am sure will be memorable to fight against.

  1. Brandon (you know, "let's go Brandon")
  2. Bojo (pretty obvious too)
  3. Zoom zoom (not obvious in northern hemisphere but def in the southern hemisphere)
  4. Body guards (they can protect the bosses but can also be fought against separately)
  5. Bong Slugger (my mate really wanted his own character)
  6. Woo han (pretty much what we have been dealing with for the past 2 years...i dont want to get cancelled by mentioning it)

Puppet Master is in early development and i am making great progress, if you like what you see and want to provide any feedback please do so, it will be great to hear from you and dont hesitate to mention any ideas you may have.

Please cheackout Puppet Master, there is a demo version to download and play.

Puppet Master

We need to get to the top and knock them out the way!

Brandon Boss Fight (let's go Brandon)

I would like each boss to have there own unique ability, definitely with ultimate satire.

Bojo Boss Fight (What a bozo!)

I am currently developing a game that is inspired by Ragdoll Fights(this game was a gem in its time).

There was just something about the simplicity of flinging a humanoid ragdoll around in a 2D setting, the unexpected fighting moves that you could achieve. It also had this slow motion matrix bullet time effect every time your ragdoll threw a punch or kick. Talking about the matrix, doesnt it kinda feel like were living in it lately, all the s@!# happening in the world.

That is definitely where i am getting my inspiration for the theme of my game from, i envisage my game being like a stress ball. Taking out all your stresses of the world and its current state on beating up puppets(in a comedic way that is).

The game is in early development and allot of the prototyping and core game mechanics are in place. There is still allot to get done and i would like to share ideas with a community to gain there insight and ideas as i go along on this journey.

Current Game State

After building a prototype, I decided to work on the puppets(ragdolls) mainly the bosses, i have a few in place

Single player is what my main focus is on currently, i want to be simplistic but with lots of content and humuor along the way.

Another goal is to make it multiplayer(already working on it) and to add a ranking type system to level up your puppet. For now i have two videos i can share showcasing a boss fight against Brandon & Bojo and i am also working on releasing a demo soon(i have only been working on this less then a month now so plenty to do).

I really wanted to make a game around crypto and thought i would use api data from CoinGecko to generate maps that you can play.

So instead of viewing candle charts you could play them, this also added the ability to spawn enemy types in that are dependant on the graph data for instance if there is an uptrend a certain enemy would be spawned in etc.

I would really like feedback as i know its not a perfect game but thats why i am here to learn and grow as a game dev.

Anyway enough with the blah blah, if you would like to give it a whirl heres the game page, its available on Android and Windows.
