Thank you so much! My hope for the game was to share an emotional experience that's rewarding to revisit, so I'm very glad to hear that you'd like to return to it.

Hey, thanks so much for playing (and for anticipating since the demo!) and taking the time to comment. I’m very glad that you mentioned the replayability factor—-I tried hard to make a game that would feel rewarding on multiple play-throughs, despite being a bit long (for a Bitsy game) and having a linear narrative. It’s great to know that the finished game feels cohesive and that the emotional weight rings true.

Great fun. I didn't realize until I was on my last line that there were other rooms to explore outside the living room and kitchen, which made me hold off on reading anything while I caused a surprising amount of chaos in your home! I love the blend of two different kinds of text-based adventure.
"Remember: Forget!"
Clever, poetic, repulsively familiar, intensely beautiful. I just finished a second play-through after some time away, and it was very much worth it. There is so much to uncover in this brutal mirror world if you can bring yourself to take your time with it. Darkly humorous, equalizing, devastating. Packed to the gills with incredible writing. This one has stopped screaming.
Just added an update to the top of this thread: the full version of Scavenger Suite is out now! Thank you so much to everyone who played the demo and offered feedback!
Hi Sasha, thank you so much for your thoughtful comment and for including Scavenger Suite in your newsletter! That was a wonderful and welcome surprise. I’m so glad that you made an emotional connection with this game, and I appreciate you sharing your experience of it. Thank you for the encouragement!
This is a great game! The ghosts' stories were rewarding in a way that made me want to be careful and attentive with their orders. The writing is impressive too, each ghost seems to have a distinct voice and personality despite spending only moments with them. I enjoyed getting to play with different combinations at the end.
This is such a well-designed game! Not only informative, but evocative. I felt a sense of urgency, empathy, indignation, and the heroism of the energy workers. You did so many interesting things with the art within the constraints of Bitsy (the close-ups of the lamps/switches and truck stand out), and the environments are drawn beautifully. Thank you for sharing this.
Thank you so much, that is high praise! I have seen so many beautiful Bitsy games that it’s made me a bit self-conscious of my own pixel art, so it’s very encouraging to see that you liked the art style. Thank you for noticing the little details; that’s exactly what I was hoping to achieve with the avatar/scene changes. I appreciate your feedback!
March 2026 update: I started this thread in September 2025 to share a demo of my Bitsy game Scavenger Suite. The full game is now finished, you can play it here!
Scavenger Suite is an exploration/story game where you play as a human and dog wandering a desolate countryside. I was inspired by games like The Last of Us, The Long Dark, and Everybody's Gone to the Rapture. Extensive documentation, walkthroughs, spoilers etc are linked on the game page.
I very much appreciate the feedback I received here from those who played the demo. It went a long way and encouraged me to make the game the best it could be. This has been my passion project for the last year or so, and I’m always glad to hear if someone connects to it. Thank you!

If you enjoy the game or encounter any issues, please let me know! I’m particularly interested to hear if anyone has difficulty with the color palettes. I would like to make a high-contrast or colorblind-friendly version of the game available, and am trying to learn best practices with a game of this kind.
Hello, I’m Ansel and I’m new to game development. I’m a hobby artist primarily working in comics, but recently started pursuing an interest in games and Bitsy has been a great resource for learning some hands-on game design without having to leap right into code. I very much appreciate the work and care put into it!
