I just realized I had dark-mode in my browser, so the font was actually black-on-black, instead of white-on-black.. fixed it now! Whoopss

Haha thanks for still being here helodude! It's coming, don't worry :) some time next year.

Info

Hi everyone!
I just released a brand new demo of my game "Chickens Don't Fly" which is a difficult precision platformer/foddian game about a rooster trying to escape a chicken coop with a pair of plungers :)

Core Features

  • Fun, physics-based plunger grappling mechanics.
  • Carefully designed levels that get harder the higher you climb.
  • Challenging yet deeply rewarding gameplay.
  • A strange world with mysteries to uncover.
  • An atmosphere that pulls you in.

I hope you wanna check out the demo, and see if you can beat it. There's an ongoing speedrun competition going on where you could win a Steam key for the full version.

The rules are very simple

  • Beat the demo in 2 minutes 30 seconds or less,
  • Record your run and post it in the Discord channel,
  • The first 5 players to do it will win a Steam key for the full release,

Good luck, speedrunners - may the fastest rooster win!

Thank you very much! :-D If I continue working on this, I'll definitely add more levels and mechanics, don't you worry!

Thank you for the kind words!

That's a very fair criticism, and I understand where you're coming from. It's obviously something that can be tweaked, if any future progress is gonna be made :) Thanks for playing !

Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed it!

And yes, last level is meant to be pure chaos 😝

Haha this was actually really fun, and super polished ! :) Manage to beat the boss at the end as well. Only a few points I'd like to make.

When enemies are hiding behind buildings, it's a bit unfair that the player can't see them :P

And same thing generally when the enemy is below you, outside the screen. Some kind of indicator where they are would be nice.

But overall well done!

I think it's a cool idea and a great mix of old and new. It's a little bit difficult to navigate on control exactly what you want to do with the blocks though. To me it felt a bit random.

I like the art though! Good job :)

The game is pretty fun ! It's very difficult even on the easiest difficulty :P but the concept is cool and it's very chaotic, which I like. Good job!

Thanks! Yes, I purposely made the range very short to make it more difficult but I understand your concern. The whole game is meant to be very chaotic in nature. Thanks for playing :) !

Thanks ! I completely understand the need for numbering the sparks. The bar was a leftover from an old mechanic that didn't make it, and I just reused the same logic. Thanks for playing :)
