Here's the latest set of devlogs:

• In place of the previous AI-generated logo, I've added one I created.
• I've changed the game's title from simply DEVILS to a more fitting DEVILS - THE BORUTA'S REVENGE. In conjunction with the name change, I've also updated the game's logo and made a few cosmetic changes to the game itself.
• I've visually separated the story dialogues from the game guide. The game is quite unusual, so if a player skips all dialogues, including the guide, they won't be able to navigate the game. The guide is now described (GAME GUIDE), and the image of the archmage has a yellow exclamation mark.
• I finished putting together a promo video for my game.

Hi, I'm a beginner game developer. I invite you to test out DEVILS. This is my first game made in RPG in a BOX. It's designed with 16 colors, just like on the C64. It's a remix of one of the first games I played on the AMIGA 600. I modified the game's objective (you have to lead the devils to the portal, defeat them all in the last 9 levels, and reach the exit). I also added RPG elements – a simple plot, fighting demons, collecting items, crafting items, character development, and skills. The only things left from that game are the method of leading the devils to their destination and the simple graphics. The game has 44 levels, I'm currently learning pixel art and animation to make transition videos between important moments of the game. As I am just starting my adventure with game development, I will be grateful for any feedback. Please list at least one thing you liked and one thing you'd improve or remove. If you find any bugs, I'd appreciate your reporting. Thanks!

A very simple platform game, but fun to play. To make it more speedrunner-friendly, add a timer.

Cool parkour, but refine the movement. For example, shouldn't the player move with the moving protoforms? And most importantly, bind to ESC to exit to the menu. Are the sticky walls a glitch or intentional?

Nice game. Back to Atari 2600 :) If the difficulty with controls is intentional, maybe consider to add HP or lives when the player is hit by enemies, so that will be a room for player mistake?

It was fun to play. A good foundation, especially for speedruns. Add other game modes, obstacles, etc. This game has potential. The only thing I would change right away is the music.

It's an interesting game, with nice graphics and music, but unfortunately, there are no sound effects. I agree that the hitboxes are a bit too large, making it difficult, if not impossible, to avoid collisions. I would also improve the UI, especially the credits and upgrades (I noticed this after my third playthrough). Good job, I was nice to play it!

I invite everyone to the DEVILS beta testing stream. On the stream, you can see the final stages of development before it's sent to crowd testing. The stream will take place today at 8:00 PM and Friday at 8:00 PM. After passing the beta, the game will be released for crowd testing. Active testers will have the opportunity to appear in the game's credits.

DEVILS  is an arcade-logic game with RPG elements created in the retro atmosphere of C64 computers. It was created using 16 colors known from Commodore.

What is the game about?

The game's action takes place in the castle in Lucic. The mischievous devil Boruta, banished by the order of magicians to the afterlife, takes revenge by sending devilish spawn. You play the role of a magician who is tasked with saving the world from devils. The player's task is to lead the devils located in the castle to the portal that leads to hell.

It contains 10 levels with items which increase and decrease your points, people to save, and one special ability.  

I am currently working on a beta version of the game. My goal is to add new solutions once a week and share them with you in order to get feedback. The arcade part is mostly finished, currently I am focusing on the logic part (creating new levels and tasks to solve), the story layer and the RPG model.

It is my first game so, I`ll be really grateful for each feedback.

The project is in the development phase. For now i would like to know your opinion about how do you like this game? Do this kind of game is interesting for you? I will be grateful if you find some bugs. It is important for me to correct as many bugs as possible at this stage of production and set a direction for the development of this title. There are 10 levels to play of varying difficulty. The game will ultimately contain over 100 levels and more game mode. 

TIPS - To move you use W,A,S,D, to restore the ground you use the UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT arrows. To use skill press 1, 2, 3... if they are available. The game saves automatically at the start of a level.

Demo version contains 10 levels to play of varying difficulty. At subsequent levels, you unlock a skill and have various items to collect that give positive but allso negative effects.
