Thanks so much yaaay!!!

So glad you liked it! Enjoy the cheese!! (I completely forgot to disable the button animation when the quit button gets replaced with the cheese button on web haha)

Thank you so much!!! We’re so happy to hear you enjoyed it that much, it means a lot!

This was fun! The writing really had us on the edge of our seats, and the boss fight was really engaging with all the different mechanics you used! Can’t wait to see part 2 :D

This was so much fun!!!! The jump mechanic is so cool I’ve never seen something like that before, it’s really interesting! THE FALLING ANIMATION HAD US LAUGHING SO HARD ITS SO CUTE

The varied environments and art were really pretty! It would be nice if level transitions were more obvious, also we couldn’t find the treasure from the hint about the trees…but we had so much fun regardless!! Everything else was really fun to discover!

Very fun! It’d be fun to see all the pieces added, as well as some more varied levels, well done! I like seeing chess pieces implemented as enemies in other games, it’s fun to see their rules applied in different environments.

So pretty!! The art is really captivating but the music got very repetitive, otherwise good job! We got a score of 63 :D

So cute, and the mechanics were really fun!! Had some issues with buttons not being clickable but otherwise really solid!! Be sure to pass on our encouragement to your son he did an amazing job!!!

A fun little game! The movement felt pretty slow compared to how fast the pellets were coming, but otherwise good!! The pushable oxygen was a fun mechanic! The guy watching you was a silly detail 10/10 guy

Thank you so much!! We’re really happy you’ve enjoyed it!! Sorry to hear that the shader effect made you nauseous, we’ll be sure to add an option to disable it next time haha thank you so much!!!

We love fishing!! So cute, had a lot of trouble interacting with things? Couldn’t manage to harvest the carrots after growing them… we couldn’t tell if it was a bug or if we just needed a tutorial… Very cozy though, good work!!

Glad you liked it!! The scan and dialogue UIs were my biggest gripe getting it finished, definitely wish I could’ve implemented them a little more cleanly! Thanks for playing!

This was really fun! It was pretty overwhelming at first, you might feel more progressed if you introduce each structure one at a time, maybe as a reward for beating a tough wave! Overall really nice though!! I like the art, the pixel outline on the planet is cool!!

Pretty fun! The text log was a pretty neat idea and the old english was fun! The skeletons kept jumpscaring us which was funny,, I’d like to see what you do with it in the future!

This is so good!!! The polish really stands out, and such an interesting concept! It was implemented really well, I was surprised to see the shooting stars add yet another element to the puzzles! So fun!!!

Had so much fun playing! Please give our game a try too if you can! https://itch.io/jam/2d-pixel-art-game-jam/rate/4343228

That’s a clever way to follow the theme, it was a lot of fun! A nice, polished, short and sweet game! Wish there were more levels

We’re trying to rate as many games as possible!! Please share your link below and we’ll give it a try!

Please give our game a try too:

Very funny!! The ending was so sillyyy Caitlin best girl

I like the art! Cool concept, I liked the music, but it could be a little easier to distinguish between good and bad outcomes?

The combos are soooo satisfying!!! It’s cool that you got the different modes, and the pixel-y line reflections are really cool!

We’d love to see your reaction to our game!! https://averagebrine.itch.io/ceres

I can’t wait to see what everybody makes!! I’m helping my Bebebebebea make her first game :3

May your particles be many, and your bugs be few…

So much good art, I really enjoy the style

The art for this is incredible, and a really well done story to match. Not to mention to fully complete gameplay loop—Had fun time playing it to the very end! Really well done!

Very good art, folder tree my beloved

Amazing art! The ability to control Neuro seemed pretty pointless as there wasn’t anything to do until the final book, but still nice to have. Good work! Secret Epic Stream was ABSOLUTE CINEMA

Wow, this is awesome! Such a well executed concept, and lots of fun to play. Props to the composer, that ending sequence is so cool

Fun game, I kept pressing ctrl+w though :P

Really good execution. I can’t say it fits the theme that much, but aside from that it’s really awesome!

Music is chill. I also couldn’t get past the 3rd cannon, though I did find a viewing angle I could actually use to control it. Definitely seems like a FixedUpdate()/delta issue to me, but I can’t be sure. Good work!

Yeah I don’t blame you at all, I’ll should be able to throw it into steam/proton and give it a try soon!

I’m glad you liked it!

The dash can actually be performed in 8 directions (Or, any direction you’re currently moving, if you let go of WASD)

Originally I planned on adding 3 different upgradeable abilities for you to utilize (Including a Light-based attack with HUGE AoE specifically for dealing with the Legion of Swarmlings), though of course I didn’t manage to finish any in time other than the dash(which itself only had some lackluster variants)

The dashable orbs were of course meant to contain the other abilities and upgrades (I even thought to use the homing effect on dashables to make a boss enemy, but of course, not enough time)

Finally, I did look to HYPER DEMON & ULTRAKILL when coming up with gameplay & design, I’m glad you caught that!

Unfortunately the Web version wouldn’t render anything for me, and there wasn’t a build for Linux. Looks cool from the screenshots though!

Interesting art and cool shader effects! Great voice acting, too!

I appreciate your feedback !

I actually did implement object pooling on the swarmlings, though since I didn’t know how many I would need I made sure my system could add more to the buffer on the fly, and while testing I set the buffer to 0 and forgot to set it back, so the first few swarms that spawn are actually spawn, then being pooled for later.

The background is actually just 36 polygons as ‘slices’ which I rotated 10’ each. I did this to save time on the background effect I wanted, but unfortunately I wasted a lot more than I’d like to admit trying to get gimp to squish the repeated texture the way I wanted…

Thank you!

This game is beautiful. Concept is interesting though the highscores, recipe book and tutorial rendered as a white rectangle, so I had to guess the recipes until I saw they were in the description lol. Also, ‘Grilled cheese, but add some cheese’ is unreasonably funny

Really love all the art! The little menu/intro is a clever way to introduce the mechanics, though personally I don’t have the patience for precision platformers…
