Peak cultivator is a wuxia/xianxian roguelite+base defense.
You are a cultivator(only sword cultivator) that needs to balance defending your base while getting stronger.
You need to cultivate, buy servants, forge, alchemy and comprehend skills.
When you are strong enough, you can defy the heavens and break your mortal chains getting stronger and getting new mechanics to get even stronger.
This is fun and playable early build, but we still are in early development so some bugs will happen.

The game is all about time manageament.
Almost every mechanic has an specific minigame to it, do it faster then you have more time to do everything else.

In the earlier versions there was a LOT of concepts and mechanics related to immortaility idle
But based on my experience- and player feedback- i think the current active playstyle is way better as a whole.
It becomes a more idle game on later stages when your lifespan is like at e38 years
But even then, in the current update your day tick speed is based on your total lifespan(you live longer so your immortal mind change your concept of time) so even that encourages active playstyles.
Ik that can be a bad thing for some players but thats how im following and working on the current game design. Still i tend to hear a lot of the community so feel free to input your thoughs on that

Yp, thats how it works.
About that at around version 0.2 i was already asking myself if this is really an idle game.
Most of the good feedback was from the more active and incremental parts, and most of the bad feedback was from the more idle/long term parts
Thats why most of the game is not idle, but an active incremental playstyle(it rewards a lot of active play)
I was thinking of changing the name to Path of the incremental(not idle) cultivator
But you wont die of oldage... i think, at least thats not a real concern from most of the playerbase
You should watch but you shouldnt play... its a rabit hole of a game
But the sheer complexity of the mechanics make ppl with jobs- like me- dont play, worst if they didnt played the game before.
You can get A LOT of inspiration on that one but make everything simpler and u r on an amazing path. Look sect manageament from tale of immortal as well, its not the best but its good
I really like the idea
But more like to amazing cultivation simulator but idle and simpler
2D graphics where you can see your disciples gathering cultivation and so on(really simple animations or even static sprites with tweens)
And all you do is get a better sect then beat other sects on tournaments and so on
I was thinking of something like this, if i was not busy with my current project i would try to do that.
Be careful with godot tho, support to bignum is kinda weird and you should either already start with a bignum lib implemented or go for float on everything and work around the overflow.

I did the body refining up to RARE. I don't know if it changed anything? Perhaps hovering over it should tell me what it is affecting? Dd it raise my Powerlevel perhaps? Or did it make it so weapons refining is faster? I have no idea.

Body refining multiply your base stats, but i will look into it, its some of the mechanics that will be mostly reworked
For some reason in the tree builder I can make a path like Bloodline->CHC->W.Mastery. But I cannot make a path like Bloodline->W.Mastery->CHC

The breakthrough fights not having a cap (to the number of bosses you can kill) seems like maybe it might be exploitable? I dunno. This is fine and fun as is, but i didn't try to go tryhard with it which feels like it might be something crazy if i did.
It kinda exploitable but i think its funnier than exploitable so i will try to keep and just make it really hard to exploit, unless i see thats just impossible to balance, then i will find another way
Oh, and maybe it would be nice if you added a tab where some of the latest notifications were listed, in case on popped up but i failed to read it in time. You know, the messages like "Advanced to Chaos 2" etc.
I will look into that, i tested an action log before but i felt the screen was just too clutered
And a bug i think. If i am dead, but i have cultivated to the end of the realm and unlocked the breakthrough option. I can open the breakthrough option, then just click on like the 100x speed button and the character might attack the boss. I can keep doing this until I finish the first boss. Then I can click finish and breakthrough, now I have more lifespan and am not "dead" anymore. This is particularly useful for QI gatherng and foundation level, since you can just power up for the full number of years, then after no lifespan you can enter this death challenge and continue.
if this behaviour was intentional, perhaps change make afunny flag for text replacement of "breakthrough" to "life and death isolation" or something silly like that.
Its not intentional, theres not enough tests when you are dead, but it should work as a auto rebirth, i will look into that as well
Thats prob the best game i've played for this gamejam so far
I want to do a similar game as well, is REALLY fun to play
The only problem i find is that it doesnt really fit the theme, at least in my eyes
If i was you, i would continue to develop this game, its REALLY fun
The movement is really smoothly
the sound is really good as well and its really balanced

One of the things that we worked more is the shadow system, to make easier for the player
The reason to the cone being visible outside the lightareas is because of one of the secrets, it makes u invisible in light but visible in shadow
We didnt have enough time to really polish the cone but i will take what u said and polish more tkxx
