This game participated in the  "🔥 Feedback Quest 8: indiegames X indie streamers" event.

You can check out player feedback and commends on the submission page.

Some issues have already been addressed, while others are actively being worked on and are planned for future updates.

We aim to release 1-2 updates per month.

We hear you. While our current levels aren't built around such system, we will take it into consideration and add it to the game if it fits with our overall level design goals and vision.

Once again, thank you for your feedback!

Hello!

Thank you for trying out our game! We're really glad that you've enjoyed it!

Your feedback is really valuable and we'll definitely take it into account as we continue to improve the game.

To start, we're planning to introduce some tutorial levels to better explain the "limb breaking" mechanic as we understand that it might feel a bit unclear and somewhat hidden right now.

Regarding the level with the falling spikes, we were thinking of toning the RNG down to make it less unpredictable and more "puzzle-like", as you mentioned. We agree that the game is mostly focused on puzzles and that the level does feel like an exception to the overall design.

Thanks again for your honest feedback. As we move forward, we'll be making the necessary adjustments that will enhance the overall player experience.

Hey there!

First of,  a big thank you for taking time to try out our game and leaving this valuable feedback. We're glad that you've enjoyed our game and its aesthetics! You're the first person that commented about the accessibility options, especially the color adjustments, so it's great to know that it worked well for you!

We really appreciate your comments on the jumping mechanic and we'll definitely work on making it feel more responsive and less punishing. Regarding the restart button, you can press "R" to restart the current level. This is something that we should have communicated more clearly and we'll make sure it's better explained going forward.

Additionally, we're planning on adding tutorial levels to better introduce the "limb breaking" mechanic, which we understand could be unclear and somewhat "hidden".

We also want to thank you for linking your VOD! We'll be checking it out to look for insights and heatmaps that will help us improve the game further. It's always helpful to see players' experiences firsthand!

Thanks again for the detailed feedback! We're really glad you've enjoyed our game.  As the game jam progresses, we'll be gathering and cross referencing all player feedback we receive. This will help us identify common "pain points" and areas that need adjustments. We want to make the game as smooth and enjoyable as possible and we'll be working on our next round of updates to address these issues and enhance the overall experience.

No worries :) As I mentioned in a previous comment, we are not aware of any way for players to reach that flag at the moment. But maybe it's something we should look into and make possible in future updates. Overall, watching you play was very insightful and we're glad you took the time to try out our game. It means a lot and it's helping us tremendously!

Thank you for the VOD link. Watching it was very insightful!

Thank you for your kind words! We mentioned that on the game's page because we didn't have enough time to fully implement a tutorial for this mechanic but we take responsibility for that. We'll definitely make a stronger effort to communicate it more clearly to the players. We're planning to refactor the tutorial levels and add more detailed information on existing mechanics.

Thank you so much for the detailed review and feedback! All your points are perfectly valid and we're glad that you brought them to our attention. We are already addressing some of them but we're waiting for more player feedback before making any major changes.

First of, we're thrilled that you enjoyed the game, the visuals and the small effects that we used! We're planning further polishing in future updates and we'll definitely take user feedback into account.

Regarding the tutorials, it's something that we're actively working on. We're looking at different ways to make the game mechanics clearer, especially the "limb breaking" mechanic you mentioned. It's something that's a bit hidden right now and we'll make sure it's explained properly in future tutorials, along with any other mechanics introduced in the game.

The camera definitely needs more polishing and it's something we have on our backlog. We generally want to improve the camera movement and overall game feel, especially for levels that have varying degrees of elevation and/or horizontal shifts. We suspect that more players will bring this to our attention.

More sound effects and music will be added on future updates. By the way, we'd love to know what playlist you were listening to during gameplay as it might give us some inspiration! :)

The puzzles are an interesting balance topic because they depend on player skill and familiarity with the keyboard scheme. We didn't have many experienced players during our initial level creation so we iterated to make them as accessible as possible while still keeping them entertaining for more experienced players. Right now, most of the puzzles are revolved around the teleportation ability but we're exploring ways to enrich and diversify them.

Thanks again for the suggestions and the detailed review.  We'll definitely take player feedback into consideration and we'll keep working on improving the game and adding details that will make it a better experience for the players!

Finally, we'd definitely like to see the VOD and your live reaction whenever it's ready as it will help us identify level heatmaps and other insights to further improve on our game!

P.S. We assume that you refer to the flag on level 10 and not 8 but please correct us if we're mistaken. There isn't any way to reach that flag on level 10. It was left there to somewhat encourage players to "jump" while missing legs. We thought it would subtly communicate that the jump mechanic doesn't work without legs, similar to how other mechanics such as "push-pull" don't work without hands.

Thank you so much for trying out our game and we're glad that you've enjoyed it so far! The difficulty curve will definitely be adjusted based on player feedback and it's something we're keeping a close eye on. We already have a few ideas for improvements but we'd like to gather more input before making major changes.

We hope you'll continue playing through to the end as development progresses. All feedback is highly appreciated so please don't hesitate to share your thoughts about any aspect of the game. Thanks again for taking the time to play and leave your feedback! It means a lot to us!

Thank you so much for your feedback! We're glad that you enjoyed the art-style and the concept! Regarding your comment about the "element that is meant to move in the level", could you clarify whether you are referring to the boxes or to the movable walls/platforms? If it's about the latter, you can press the "Tab" button to show the lever-platform connections. This feature continue to receive updates as development progresses.

Soothing music and enjoyable puzzle games. What more could someone ask for? Good job!

Interesting concept. Had some trouble figuring out the goal but overall great gameplay loop and the powerups make it much more interesting

Nice and creative artstyle. I liked the ASCII art and the color scheme. Gameplay loop seems solid. My only complain is the sound as it  seems like it's bleeding and

Interesting gameplay and definitely a fun mechanic. There's always a chaos on my screen

Thank you for trying out our game! We're really glad that you liked the artstyle. Did you like the gameplay? Any specific feedback you'd like to leave about that? It goes a long way :)
