i think this is one of my fav games in the jam ((: the aesthetics, puzzle and writing remind me of these old point-and-click flash game its funny but annoying that text scales down with the characters, and also an indicator of what i can move vs what i can just scale wouldve been nice great job tho!!! please play our game if you get the chance(:

really cool game! you really sold the feel of scale, with the way the camera zooms out and smaller enemies being replaced with larger ones. the art is very impressive, especially the gopher burrowing animation ((: it’s a bit unclear how the scoring works though, it took me a while to figure out shooting pollen makes me smaller, and after defeating the tree i’m still not sure what the orbs around the character do haha great job though!!! please play our game if you get the chance
Really cute game! I love all the little animations and the way they step forward before speaking haha. the writing is fun, but the typing speed is a little slow.
(cool tip: you can use TMP_Text.maxVisibleCharacters for the typewriter effect, and it’ll prevent the words from moving down lines while being typed)
justice for Jaxon!!!!
i really dig the artstyle, its so unique! i’d be glad to hear how you pulled it off in such a short time. the gameplay was a bit confusing, enemies were pushed around seemingly at random and the shield didn’t really work I think? the tutorial was great - both interactive and with minimal text. I think levels would benefit from more frequent changes between night and day
Amazing game! the graphics are really impressive and I loved the radiation alert effect. I think there little too many things to juggle, especially right at the start, maybe you could phase in the mechanics by first giving the player a hoe, than some seeds, than water, etc. The overall polish is excellent for a 3 day jam, nice sound effects, animations and displays. Only thing missing is a sensitivity slider haha. great job! 10/10
Cute game! To answer you questions- Learning game development is a long process. There are a lot of aspects to it, like 3D modeling, painting, sound design, programming, systems design and more, and there are very few people that are good at all of them. If you experiment and keep making games, without putting pressure on yourself, you’ll slowly learn what parts of game development you love the most or are best at. I recommend Riot game’s series “So you wanna make games?” on YouTube (: Finding 3D or 2D assets is just a matter of googling, there are many websites like kenny.nl and opengameart.org, but I recommend attempting to make the art yourself, as a beginner. Even if you’re not planning to take it very seriously, knowing a little Blender or Photoshop is very valuable. Getting better at it will take some time, but I find that pixel art is easier to start with compared to 3D modeling or painting. As long as you keep making games, you’ll get better. Keep participating in game jams, asking for and learning from feedback (maybe give yourself a bit more time next chance haha). Good luck!
