i do admit the spelling mistakes were because the game is rushed allthough i dont care if "misappeal" is not a real word. I did make many upgrade descriptions breif because either the upgrade is random and I didnt want to be innaccurate or the upgrade was too complex for the spce I had.
In terms of the random money loss, if it was only at really high users/rev% i might sugest integer overflow which i sadly can't do anything about but elsewise id just keep checking the changelog for mutations
Game Quality: at surface seems exelent allthoug one star is deducted by default for not understanding the concept of a gamejam and keeping scope creep under control. The game also is FILLED with little things that make the game play feel worse, from the red walls in the dropper sections being undetectable until you collide with them, to having to platform across thin platforms in the dark with a lazer pointer flashlight, to to the "scary oogler" forgetting about the player the second line of sight is broken, making them ineffective as both a horror monster and a fun obstacle. There is something to be said about the quality and polish to be expected in a gamejam time frame but you all could not have taken any of those Three extra days to make the dash boost you up slightly? Allthoug I do admit when I was having fun it was good fun. 2/5 stars.
Video quality: It is well edited, intrigues, and makes the game look way funner than it is, evrything a trailer should do. 5/5 stars
Theme relation: The Crt filter and low poly astetic do feed well into the game's horror elements, and the concept of mutations that not only give the player abilities but may "Mutate too much" while allready being in the player is a fun concept with Immense potential. 5/5 stars
Quality of game: I cant run amc programs, so I cant judge the gameplay off of anything more than trailer vibes, from what I can see it seems fine, although im deducting one star for inaccessibility and one star for a seeming instability to the point you can't keep it out of the trailer. 3/5 stars
Relation to theme: The game looks very flash, but I find it hard to decipher any connection to mutations. although I will give you one star for the exposure mechanic seemingly driven the circles to go crazy and stop doing the jobs correctly to be a mutation although it feels like a stretch. (4/5) stars
Game video: just footage but cleaned up, yall need to do better, atleast cut the crash out, 1/5 stars
Game quality: there is something to be said about judging a work in progress as if it were a final product, there is also a thing to be said about the concept of a GameJam and how time management is part of the competition. From what we have (Which is walking around) still isn't great anyway. the lack of an ability to strafe in the air without letting go of w and the inability to automatically climb small inclines on the open level makes the movement feel clunky and unsatisfying. If 4 people with an entire competition can't get walking right, perhaps its time to reconsider this whole GameJam thing. 1/5 stars.
quality of video: its jsut footage, atleast it got cleaned up but honestly if half the games didnt do this this would be one star. 2/5 stars
Adherence to theme: The game does have a very 2000s astetic once you look past the hellscapes of nightmare land, the the ability to mutate the world generation has enormous potential if there was a game that utilized the mechanic. 5/5 stars
Quality of game: Actual challenge feels nonexistent, with enemies spending half the game still and the primary source of deaths being the loading screen. The ability to make something both mind numbingly boring and complete bullshit at the same time is not something I knew was possible. Also you do not have the rights to many of those songs, and many of them clash in tone. 1/5 stars
Quality of video: Talk about the definition of bare minimum, you didn't even bother to edit out the recording software at the start or record the game's audio. 1/5 stars
Related to the theme: The game feels very 2000s, and while some of that credit is owed to the use of scratch as a game engine. 2000s is 2000s. Game fails to demonstrate any conection to mutations 3/5 stars
Quality of game: It feels very shallow mechanicaly. How many gloopsters a bullet seems to penetrate does feel random and often it feels as if luck takes precedent over skill. Yet, it can be an entertaining little time waster, and the time trials a nice touch for a game otherwise lacking in repeatability. 3/5 stars, two stars docked for overwhelming reliance on luck (Chance can be fun, but bad luck should be an obstacle, not a predetermination of the game)
Adherance to the theme: The game is dripping with old flash game vibes, yet lacks any demonstrated conection to mutations as a theme 3/5 stars
Quality of video: Has nice charm, dits with the vibe of the game and isnt just gamplay footage 5/5 stars
