Hmm you're right, my game looks eerily similar to Tank Chess... Even some of the rules are identical, what the heck!

Well, I can only give my word that I had not been aware of Tank Chess when I made Panzerchess. This is insane 🤣

Thank you 😊👍

However, this game is a video game version of my original board game Panzerchess. At least I hope it's original lol

Player can play/move only one tank per turn

If a tank is selected at the beginning of the turn, a different tank can still be selected to be played - but if the tank has been played, for example rotated the turret, then no other tank can be selected, even after UNDO.

Hello everybody :)

This is my first ever video game, and it's an adaptation of a board game I have developed.

You will find the game here --> https://adamg-dev.itch.io/panzerchess

Give it a go!

Panzerchess is a turn-based, tactical game of tank warfare for 2 players local multiplayer. Each player takes command of six tanks divided into five classes, and the game is played on a 10x12 chess-like battlefield, filled with fortifications and dragon's teeth defences. Each tank class is different - some tanks are turreted while others are turretless. They differ in mobility, agility and firepower. To assure victory players need to master the control of their armoured vehicles and know they way around the battlefield.

Panzerchess is an adaptation of a board game. The only real difference between the board game and the video game is the addition of the UNDO button, which allows the player to undo their move once per turn.

The game is meant to be played with the mouse but I have left the key-bindings I used during development:
Y - tank forwards
H - tank backwards
T - turn tank counter-clockwise
U - turn tank clockwise
G - turn turret counter-clockwise
J - turn turret clockwise
O - shoot

Before playing I suggest to read the game instructions manual uploaded here - but the manual is available also in-game, as well as the combat rules cheat-sheet.

I would appreciate feedback, particularly if you find any bugs!

Hope you have fun playing it!
