I'd love for a way to see if my support ticket is still open or not. I know Itch probably gets heaps of emails, but it's hard to know if my ticket is still in a queue or if it has been closed without a response.

I don't mind waiting a couple of weeks for a response if I know it will be replied to eventually, but I'd prefer to know if it was already closed without a reply.

Hopefully you have better luck than me. I'm still waiting 3 weeks for a response. Hopefully the mod was able to speed yours up, but otherwise be prepared for a wait :( I think they are just snowed under right now.

It doesn't sound like you've done anything wrong. The game is likely in a queue for staff to check before it gets reindexed. It unfortunately take some time right now. I'm in a similar boat and are still waiting for a reply 2 weeks later. Fingers crossed it will be fixed soon.

100% certain. I've been planning this release for a while. I timed the Itch release to coincide with when I released the updated version on Patreon. The account and page were created when I launched the game on Patreon, but I only published it to go public 21 days ago.

Appreciate the reply. I didn't delete and recreate the game. The game on my profile is the original public version. You won't be able to see the duplicate as it's restricted and only available via the link I posted on Patreon. I'm glad to hear what I did was normal and shouldn't result in permanent deindexing.

I'm hoping I'm just on a list for manual review and just need to wait. I was just worried that maybe my support ticket fell through the cracks since I haven't received a response.

I know they are busy so maybe I'm just being impatient.

Thanks for the reply. I'm pretty confident that the duplicate restricted game is what triggered is as it was indexed before and then not indexed immediately after I set up the duplicate restricted game. The drop in traffic aligns perfectly to when the restricted game was created.

Agree that trusting Gemini was stupid. It just seemed like a good solution to my problem and obviously wasn't trying to get more visibility on Itch

I would find it strange if it was because anyone thought the characters looked underaged. They are all adults with pubic hair.

I don't accept payments due to the new rules about NSFW games.

I appreciate your help anyway.

Not sure if I messed up here. I wanted to let my Patreon members play the latest version of my game "in the browser". Gemini suggested that I create a duplicate game on Itch but set it to restricted so it can't be found in search and is only accessible to my Patreon members. I think this has triggered Itch's rules about duplicate games and has deindexed my public game. My games traffic plummeted as soon as the second page was created so I'm pretty confident that caused it.

Is this allowed or am I an idiot for following the advice of AI? If not allowed, I'll delete it straight away if it means I'll be indexed again.

I reached out to support nearly two weeks ago but haven't heard back yet. I know they are busy so don't want to bug them again if it's just in a queue waiting.
