Appreciate the reply. I didn't delete and recreate the game. The game on my profile is the original public version. You won't be able to see the duplicate as it's restricted and only available via the link I posted on Patreon. I'm glad to hear what I did was normal and shouldn't result in permanent deindexing.

I'm hoping I'm just on a list for manual review and just need to wait. I was just worried that maybe my support ticket fell through the cracks since I haven't received a response.

I know they are busy so maybe I'm just being impatient.

You sure about that?

Your quarantine message says

Page created  6 months ago

Account created  6 months ago

And the information box says

Published 21 days ago

Either way, a recently updated page can always end up in quarantine for a lot of reasons. I doubt one of the reasons is a second project with similar files and name on the same account. And I would guess, when you uploaded the second project, you updated/changed the page of the first.

100% certain. I've been planning this release for a while. I timed the Itch release to coincide with when I released the updated version on Patreon. The account and page were created when I launched the game on Patreon, but I only published it to go public 21 days ago.

Interesting. So there is a time stamp for draft mode, I assume.

Maybe you were mistaken for an impostor. A quick glance at your patreon and twitter and linktree, where you did post some socials links did not indicate that you have an Itch account. There is a lot of fake games uploaded to Itch.

Or maybe your patterns matched the behaviour of a recent scam wave. The generic quarantine message always implies such. Our system has flagged this page for additional review due to potential suspicious behavior from the page owner.

On the one hand, Itch's filters are obviously not good enough, because malware and spam still appears, on the other hand the filters are hyper active and cannot even distinguish between a patreon link and a malware link. But to be fair, patreon links were and probably are used a lot to spread malware.

Anyway, people get stuck in filters a lot. Be it games or comments. If nothing happens for a month or so, you should consider doing what this thread says. https://itch.io/t/4120453/unofficial-search-and-indexing-faq (the category rules are the rules of the category questions & support).

And I suggest you cross link your online appearances wherever allowed. If you want to minimize fallout because of the quarantine, remove the download links and any link outside of the meta data for the time being. The quarantine message only appears when trying to download or click a link.
