Great game! The truck failing over time was great (It got very tricky once you couldn't hit the walls) and I like the text

Love the flavor text! (Just a bit hard to read while you're running around) I was a bit confused my first playthrough (maybe have the player start the meltdown by showing them what the button terminals look like and pressing it) but it was a great race against the clock once I got the hang of it. Only other hard part was remembering what button was talk and what was interact / read (I would consider having one button for all interactions). Other than that this was very original and fun to play!
Very original idea! Scrambling the controls is a really good way to make it difficult and the story to go with it is very nice. I would say to make the ending a little easier because it's so hard to precisely jump with mixed controls (Although with only one level I do understand it. I would specify that as well just so the player knows the flag is the ultimate goal). Is there any "coyote time" for jumps? (I couldn't exactly tell). I would also make the fire stop on death because it's easy to jump back into it when it's still going from last run. Still, the art is good and the gameplay loop is very easy to grasp (I could see more levels being made with different scrambles and parkour)
Yo! That's the best feeling, when the stakes are high but you still pull it off. Glad you liked the tutorial and the music! I don't know if you saw but I do have a YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzIVgY1k0lykXKsd6moFqlw if you want to hear more of my music (this games music will be up there at some point along with a video about the jam, assuming I find the time). Thank you for playing!
Thanks! That was definitely the goal of infinite mode so I'm glad you enjoyed it. The idea is (although at the time I didn't realize it) very similar to the flash game "Sticky Ninja Academy", although this definitely has more angle work and the rising floor provides some challenges. Thanks for playing!
Thank you! I'm definitely better at music (don't know if you saw but I do have a YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzIVgY1k0lykXKsd6moFqlw) than game development, but it was super fun to make this! Thanks for the positive feedback and for playing!
Thanks for the feedback! For the leeway, are you talking about removing the middle box or allowing the player to slide instead of getting stuck on corners? That was a big problem I wasn't quite sure how to fix. Thank you for the text feedback as well, the main reason for that was that I had to majorly scale it right at submission because it was too zoomed in on other screens. But yeah, thanks for playing!
Good idea, just had a hard time getting into the flow. There were no audio or visual cues something had broken (besides the obvious speeding up of the truck) so I had a hard time finding what to fix, and at first I didn't even know something was broken. The visuals are very good, I just wish you had a bit more time to fill orders, and that the flavors matched what you have in the truck. The light minigame could go a bit faster as well. Great job making a 3d game though, and good thumbnail
Amazing idea! Carrying items and then weaving through the bullets is a lot of fun, but I would tone down the projectile rate. I got stuck my first time because my character got pushed to the edge and was hidden, so maybe just tighten the borders so the character is always visible, but the tutorial was nice (like the text lol) and very well integrated. Was a little confused about why you would want to buy harder portals but I guess they do give you more ice cream, the box was just labeled confusingly, and I found myself only needing two factories. If you extend the timer you could definitely get more gameplay though because it is enjoyable and the art is very charming. The throwing sound was super satisfying as well and the progression felt very natural. I think you should keep working on this!
Art is so good! I do think that there could be some more gameplay elements (I really just camped one ice cream truck). Power ups around the map / upgrades would encourage exploration, and a dash ability would allow more interesting fights. A tutorial in-game would also be much appreciated. The The idea is solid though, and I did have a good time playing it. I think the ice cream cone should have shot ice cream to better fit the special object, but the trucks and wand cone are decent. The whole idea of fighting a robot army is very appealing, and the thumbnail definitely got my attention.
Really just want feedback on my game (https://itch.io/jam/mini-jame-gam-44/rate/3683326) because I'm not sure how many people are going to play it since you have to download it. I am willing to play other's games though if you link yours.
Super great game! Challenging but fair, I just wish that there was some way to gain sanity (besides losing it all) and health between rounds besides the one sanity per turn and when you buy upgrades. The achievements were definitely a nice touch and the different fighters were good. Great thumbnail, heard a lot in the comments the art was AI but I'm not sure. The loss of move mechanic is cool but doesn't quite fit the theme. Definitely good game though
Great tutorial text, I was a little confused on the colored square game though. The art is amazing but I would appreciate less swear words in the text. Interesting idea having to keep the ice cream machine alive and having different mini games did shake up the gameplay and keep me on my feet. However, I do wish the collision boxes for the wires were a little bigger so that the process could be a bit faster and fluid, and very quickly the game lost energy due to the very repetitive gameplay. Very good looking for a Game Jam game and great thumbnail!
Overall very fun! I was a little confused that the factory malfunctioning was that it had a cannon, but it works ok enough. The entire atmosphere is very whimsical, which I do like. I do wish that the catch collision box was a little bigger for stacking the ice cream, because a few times I felt like I should have caught one when it didn't. Also, I would consider lowering the stack closer to the bottom of the screen to allow more time to catch the ice cream. The stack image at the end is an amazing touch!
