the Playdate tag are for games that are created for the game console made by Panic which is called the "Playdate". This game was not designed to be played on the Playdate and therefore this tag should be removed.

I agree that it would be nice (or ideal) for the codes not to repeat but it's whatever. I do think it would be fun for you to add even more codes. Maybe you could do a 2.0 of the game with all these improvements and spookiness!
I also think adding codes for other creators games could be a fun idea as well. Or even just to your own game!
I found this game to feel like a fairly full experience. The story was pretty good and I felt that the sets were also interesting to interact with.
I sometimes felt that clicking on an object wasn't as easy as I would have liked and I'm not sure how to fix that as it feels more like a limitation of Pulp.
The only things that I found to be missing from the game is some more sounds and maybe some music as well.
Overall a really solid and interesting game!
From briefly playing this I found that the gameplay is similar to the original Mario Bros and it overall was pretty interesting.
I think that the use of the crank is pretty good. I only wish that there was an animation for the digging. I think that the sound for digging is pretty good and is a good indicator.
I think the barking is pretty good and I was happy to see that it was easily usable while jumping.
I think that the How to Play was really useful to have and I am very happy that this was included. I was kinda hoping there might have been an easter egg when you clicked through the tutorial enough times but without one it's totally fine.
Overall the game is really well polished and I could see myself playing more of this from time to time.
Somehow my console crashed while playing the game. I think maybe it happened after I tried to enter the Konami code?
The crank seems to be too sensitive to play correctly?
Overall the game seems to be great but I unfortunately am not sure how to play it correctly.
The artwork for the game looks great though and I am excited for some bugs to be squashed in the code and to see a more polished version of this game in the future!
Honestly, with because of obsessed this community is with QR codes, this makes a great game.
I think that it also was a really smart decision to make the QR codes lead to Google Searches or Wikipedia instead of to a specific game as this lets the game "last longer" in terms of images not being deleted and this depends more on the lifespan of Google and Wikipedia.
I think the small detail with the A button is pretty funny. Unfortunately I did have to do a little more work to get that QR code to work because of it being so small but it was still worth it.
The knocking on the door is really well done and somehow I was just immersed into the game. The randomized houses were also really great as well. This is just a great experience that I could see myself enjoying over and over again.
The only additions that I could see that could be added to this game is the ability to see how many QR codes have been collected and to be able to have a gallery so that the player could go back to each one and see what they have. Also for the gallery it would be nice to have a link that could be typed in or even just know where you are going.
This is a really well polished experience and I really enjoyed this, thank you!
Unfortunately I don't really understand how to play this game. This game would really benefit from having a menu screen that would tell the player how to play the game without relying on the itch.io page to learn. With some other games I've commented on, you could add the instructions to the menu screen (as long as you are able to fit everything you want there).
I will say that the animations and the art for the cards look nice and I could see this game being made into a much more fleshed out and well made game.
First thing that I noticed is that there isn't a reticle to show were you are aiming. I think that would be a great feature to add.
I also was able to crash the console fairly easily by spamming the fire button. I would recommend having a set fire rate when holding down the B button. I think also the Playdate just crashes when there are too many objects on screen.
It would be great if there was more visibility of enemies, possibly from creating a black and or white outline around enemies so that they can be more clearly seen.
I think that the enemy difficulty could be adjusted by having enemies come in at varying speeds (faster and slower enemies). I also feel that the enemies crashing into your house should make a different sound than the enemies that are defeated to let the player know what it happening.
With almost every game I've played from this Jam, it would be great if you would be able to add a "Restart" option in the menu.
Overall I think that this could turn into a really fun arcade game that could feature upgrades to the tower along with just generally improved readability to the game. Great job!
I really think that the cover art for this game looks really great.
I noticed some grammatical errors in some of the text.
The game is a really cute exploration and collection based game. I do wish that the backgrounds were a little more detailed but I understand that can be difficult to do especially in pulp. I know that an amazing example of some well done scenery in pulp is Quest for the X.
I love that there are different endings for this game as well.
Overall I think this is a great short experience and I would just love to see a little more from the game in terms of background artwork and maybe more things to interact with.
A really interesting concept. It would be interesting to see multiple modes for this game that would change the amount of time that you have to beat the game.
I did find the game to be a little frustrating and wished there was an easier way to understand what paths that I could and couldn't go down. I think the gameplay could be improved if you were able to see just one space in front of you, that way the game would still be a maze but it would help to eliminate the frustration of trial and error.
Music sounds really great and interesting.
I don't really like the infinite scrolling cards and would have preferred it to not do that. It would have been nice to be able to select the cards (moving left/right) with the dpad or crank.
For the menu I really appreciate the options to turn sound on and off along with returning to the title. I do wish that you added some basic instructions onto the menu screen since card games can be difficult to memorize even when they are simple.
I love how this game has a wrapper and helps to make this game feel like it's a full experience. I also appreciate that the cover of the game looks great. I love that the intro animation is kinda a jump scare as well and really adds to the halloween nature of the game.
This game looks really great as a Vampire survivor clone. I wish that the candy was easier to collect.
For the aiming I wish that there was a reticle to know roughly where you are aiming.
I understand that the candy probably needs to disappear for performance reasons but it would be nice if you were able to combine the candy into one larger candy that doesn't disappear which is what I believe vampire survivors does.
For the menu, I wish that there was a restart run or something similar. Especially if there isn't the weapons that you want.
I wish that there was at least some form of tutorial or "How to Play" This could be added to the menu screen and just has the basic controls.
Overall this game feels like it could be a fully polished game for the playdate! There are definently some things that could be changed along with some balance, but overall this is a really strong start to something that could become a full game!
I found this one to be really creative and interesting. I really enjoyed the use of the console and also enjoyed that depending on how hard the console was shaken, it would affect how shaken the candy would be.
I'm unsure still on the scoring system, I understand that you're trying to get the real candies but I was unsure on if each candy bar had a different calorie value. That is still unclear for me.
It would be nice if on the pause menu you could see what the real candy bars are. I also think on the menu it would be nice to show how much time has elapsed. I Also think that there should be a reset game button option.
I would also love to see the game save your highest scores from previous runs.
