Turns out the afterlife's not as bad as they say! Well, except for all the terrifying monsters, at least.

From briefly playing this I found that the gameplay is similar to the original Mario Bros and it overall was pretty interesting.

I think that the use of the crank is pretty good. I only wish that there was an animation for the digging. I think that the sound for digging is pretty good and is a good indicator.

I think the barking is pretty good and I was happy to see that it was easily usable while jumping.

I think that the How to Play was really useful to have and I am very happy that this was included. I was kinda hoping there might have been an easter egg when you clicked through the tutorial enough times but without one it's totally fine.

Overall the game is really well polished and I could see myself playing more of this from time to time.

A great game that reminds me of Super Mario for arcade. I couldn't get very far; I tend to give up quickly in these types of games, but I found it quite fun! Unfortunately, I couldn't get the crank to work on the simulator. Is it just a matter of rotating, or am I doing something wrong?

i think the crank behavior in the jam version might just be a touch too strict (e.g. if you stop cranking at all, the dig progression resets). i'll look into fixing this for a future update!

At first see I was like , ok Mario bros with a reskin for halloween. I jump on the koopa-seemlike and surprise I lost one life ! It's not a copy it's reinterpretation of the classic arcade game. Game feel and ambiant is nice and the game feel polish for this short time in jam !

Feels like a full arcade game, with more enemies this could be something you would see in an arcade! Feels very Mario Bros. Like and that’s awesome!

also skeleton doggo so 10/10

Lovely art.

Perhaps the beginning of a fun arcade style game.

The polish in this is insane, I love the attention to detail. Aside from the art which is clearly your thing, stuff like the variation in SFX and the little invincible spawn are not things I was expecting to see in a jam. Thanks for sharing your code, even if it's not the cleanest it's interesting to see how you implemented some of that.
