Hi everyone! I’m just here to let everyone know that my FPS game “Gumblaster Mayhem” Playtest is now live on itch.io. I have been working on the game for about two years and 5 months now as I have been treating it as more of a learning experience. During this time, I have learnt to use Blender for 3D modelling and Beepbox for music.

My FPS game “Gumblaster Mayhem” is a game that I’m currently working on to release for Steam in the future. The game is a 3D retro-style first-person shooter game where you, as a player, shoot out some gumballs using the three weapons that you must use to take down the sour mutants to survive. There would be spawning ammo, health and presents to help you out.
I would appreciate any feedback that could help to improve the game in the future and you can also fill in the feedback form once you’re done with the playtest, which should be in the game itself. I don’t mind if the feedback is brutal by the way lol.

This game is so silly lol… And it’s actually not bad. I got some feedback though. The overall gameplay visuals need a little work, and it would be even better if the marshmallow enemies were given some animations. And the player movement felt a bit slow at times. And maybe add an effect when the guns are being fired since it seems that you are doing raycasting shooting. But I like the way this game is going in terms of the story, very entertaining indeed, and I do like the gingerbread/chocolate and the marshmallow models lol. In fact, I’m impressed that you did all the models in less than a week, so well done for that. Just keep going, and then you will definitely get there for sure. 🔥✊🏼
Really cool game indeed. I really like the visuals and design of the game. But I got a suggestion that could make this game better. And it’s adding a settings menu, either in-game or at the start menu, where you can change the mouse sensitivity, as I also believe that the mouse speed is a little too high. I really enjoyed this game though. 🔥✊🏼
I really love this game so much. I’m actually currently working on a project kinda just like it, but without the rougelite atm anyways (it’s not the game I submitted in this game jam btw). Very fun game indeed, and I would play this again. I really love the visuals, and the enemies’ designs are very interesting to look at (and I love it). Died at wave 5 and level 8 (I think the timing is like around 4:50 or something, didn’t catch that for some reason).
Brace yourself, but I have to be honest. I’m having trouble pasting the first level. I’m actually a huge platformer fan (which is why I made one for the jam lol), but just couldn’t do it for this game sadly.
But I have to say though, I really love the visuals. Very retro instead. And the music brings out the game very well. And also very interesting running on walls mechanic instead.
I actually really love the visuals and the interesting concept that you lose health when using the spell, but by the time I get to the third level, my health is already low, and I am forced to double jump, which also loses health. Idk, maybe it’s a skill issue like the last person said lol. Very interesting game though. 🔥✊🏼
I really like the concept of the game. But the car keeps leaving me every time I stop lol (which I found pretty funny). Also, I found a bug when I delivered a package to Daniel, I somehow clipped through the floor collider and then fell from the level. But overall great game and I’m hoping to see any future updates.
