Hey I really don't think creating a censored version of the game is simpler than just using a vpn lol, if it will slow down the content updates it might backfire on your patreon fans and if it doesn't slow down content updates it will backfire on your health since it would mean you overwork yourself to keep up, All in all I do not think creating more work for yourself is the best option.
Steam sadly can't be tricked by a vpn alone (I'm german, I tried), because they base your location on your payment method as well (don't ask me how, I don't know). So you would have to jump through even more hoops. A censored version with decensor patch is the most comfortable for german users afaik. And I can receive these games as a "gift" from someone.
