Yes, but how? They're both good ideas, yet we need to get started.... I think we have time to do either game well.

I think we should go with the dungeon crawler idea, setting some rooms and making them randomly generated seems fun but a complex mechanic, so we can stand out

I think that one would do good as well. What about the art direction. I think that a fantasy aesthetic would work well. But what do you think?

But whatever we choose we'll need at least tilemap and a main character and some enemies.

Yeah, i think the colorful fantasy is a great vibe for the game.

where would be the ambience? a deep cave dungeon? a castle? maybe a flat land maze.

That's a good question. I hadn't thought of that. I think if we have time later, we could make the player descend down and go from one area to another.

But I think we should start with a vibrant dungeon. Like a dungeon that is being lived in. With wooden rafters and stuff.

The next area could be a darker abandoned dungeon.

And maybe a demonic layer for the third level?

Also perhaps hidden bonus areas could be made of caves?

It makes sense.

last thing to think before we started i think: How the random maps would work, like, if we want the player to explore the dungeon and find hidden bonuses stages, how would it work? the player will have to go in specific order of rooms?

Well, when certain rooms spawn they have a chance of having a bonus room and the bonus room will have a random reward.

ok perfect!

can we make a drive folder or something? so i can post the art there and you can feedback me.

you could just create an itch.io project and drop the files in there or you can use dropbox.

ok
