Excellent writing! I was very engaged in the story. I don't necessarily think everything in a story needs to be explained, so I felt the parts that were left out were well considered. Assuming I understood it, it's a very poignant ending, too. I won't repeat what others said about audio - the black-on-purple might be a little hard to read for some, so playing with new colors wouldn't hurt. A very solid entry. I enjoyed it a lot! 🎉

Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the note on color—I had played around with variations on the color scheme but it might have been better to just go with another palette entirely. (You definitely understood the ending, btw.)

I like the minimal art style. I think some click sounds and maybe a little ambient track would have been nice.

Developer

Click sounds, great idea. I thought about adding music but it would have put me over the time limit—next time!

Interesting little experiment. I thought the person we talked to was written pretty realistically, nicely done! To be honest, I did not quite understand the relationship between the player and the second person. Still a neat little thing, thanks for making it!

Developer

Appreciate the honesty! I'm a huge fan of ambiguity/space in storytelling, but that often toes the line of boredom haha. Good to know it wasn't too dry here. Thanks for playing 🙂

Well written. Like the minimalistic feeling of it. Nice one.

Thanks for playing!

This is so good. I cried at the end.

Because you wonder the whole time why it matters -- why does the speaker care so much? And then you find out why, so tastefully, at the end. It's masterful!

5/5's across the board. Yes, even audio, because silence is the most appropriate. How is this your first project???

Been writing in various forms for like ten years, glad to see it's paying off! Glad you enjoyed it 🙏🏻

Unfortunely I don't have enough patience to play the game, but i found that I can manipulate the text show, so i had fun, 10/10.

Whaat? It takes about 5 minutes to complete, 6 if you read slowly haha

yeah it's not like it's a long game, I just wasn't feeling like reading haha

Still left you a pretty high score on the things that were scorable, i.e. not art or sound

Developer(+1)

Haha I feel that. I appreciate it!
