  • Simple yet fun game! I don't see exactly what spreads in this game, but enjoyable regardless.
  • Simple but really effective gameplay loop! Expanding the game to different levels to try and reach the rockets in would make this game even more addictive.

Tell us about your game!
Arrive at Rocket is a platforming game where you start inside of a planet, that explodes into random shapes spreading apart. You have to reach one of the four rockets, before they drift into the red area of death. The platforms are getting further and further apart, so collect some powerups from orbit to reach the goal!

WASD / Arrow keys to move
Space to jump and use powerups
R to restart

This was a lot of fun! The controls were excellent, and I played this for far too long trying to get that top rocket. I never managed to do it. I tried even going to the side and then using the lower gravity to launch up to it. I got close but never made it.

Amazing! This is the perfect example of a simple game loop combined with a creative idea executed perfectly! I love that the game naturally has a built in difficulty mode just based on what rocket you want to reach (easy = down, normal = left/right, hard = up)! Outside of maybe some graphical upgrades and music, the only real suggestions I have would probably be:

  • More powerups
  • Maybe a quick "lerp-spread" at the very beginning of levels (so you don't have to wait so long for the blocks to spread)

Bravo! I seriously hope you expand on this idea! One of my favorite entries so far!

Wow, this game had me completely hooked on trying to reach every single rocket (which I did eventually!). The character controls super cleanly, the sound effects are satisfying, the power ups are great. Really solid foundation for what could be developed further.

General points I have are this game really needs music to go with it, it'd make it so cool. Also potentially more power ups and more different shapes and shapes that do different things when you touch them, like shapes that destroy when hit for example.

Really great game, really great take on the theme, good job guys!

Neat Idea! It took me a few playthroughs to get the hang of it. Having powerups in rings was a nice touch, chill until you got the one you needed.
