I really wanted to like this game, the concept is nice and it seems to work quite fine, however, I am too frustrated because I still don't understand how the enemies attack, since I don't have always the opportunity to attack and they strike before I have any option.

I saw that you have used some placeholder done with AI, aside that you shouldn't use them at all, not even as placeholder (Just draw a triangle if you have to do the mountain for example), you should at least list now on the page which content is currently done with AI, so it would be easier for players to judge what come from you and what comes from Daniela skills. This makes a big difference between considering her a great artist or have instead a negative idea about it (due to the use of AI).

I am glad that what it seems, an Italian team made a nice game.

You can definitely make a nice commercial product if you step away from the stain of using AI :-)

Thanks for your feedback! Totally get the frustration with the attack mechanics : we're working on making it more player-friendly based on what you and others have said. (after jam voting)

About the AI-generated assets, yeah, we experimented a bit too much there. 😅
I (the developer) realize late the implications and we plan to replace AI-generated backgrounds with original art from Daniela as soon as possible. We're learning and evolving from this experience.

Bravi!

I'm looking forward to give it a go again once you adjust the mechanics. Also it might be worth to add at least a couple of lines of text in the game explaining how you attack and how the enemies attack, so the player as a better idea. I totally understand the pressure of the jam and the issue with that, me too developing my game by myself in just one day, didn't had enough time for playtesting.

Just keep in mind that AI is rarely seen positively by players and other developers, especially artists. Only who uses as cheap shortcut thinking for easy profit is excited about that. So, if your team wants to be admired for your skills, better quit AI totally. At least that's my opinion, of course.

Looking forward to see other Italian fellows to show that even us can make nice games ;-)
