The graphics and audio were really good (although i had to restart the game to hear most of it), I really liked how the car controls and how you can dodge the police. The game is really fun, although i couldnt play it all the way through because of constant stutters that made the game harder to control.

The art was done extremely well. Only thing is, I had problems with the audio coming in and out at random. The controls were great until the lag hit. Looking forward to seeing this game in its entirety. Because it looked and felt amazing.

This is awesome, I had a blast! The graphics style is shockingly unique (and weirdly I can't even put a finger on why, my best guess is because it looks sort of like toys?) and it's very pleasing. The way the car can drive on walls and cliff faces is so cool and rare, and my favorite part was the flying mechanics and how seamless the mode swaps are.

Playing this game reminded me of GTA, Just Cause 2, A Short Hike, and that flying Harry Potter car all mixed together at different times and it was lots of fun and instantly accessible

I'm glad you enjoyed our small little mechanics we sprinkled in here and there! The climbing up walls mechanic was actually the thing that got us going in the direction we did, little happy accident. I'm glad you enjoyed flying around and those are some high praise games to be compared to! Very appreciate it and thanks for playing :)

damn. can't rate this game because it's too taxing on my PC. super laggy. too bad, it looks great. would've loved to play this game :(

Sorry you couldn't play! I appreciate you trying

this was really cool, the car felt incredible to control! i loved all the little physics interactions in the game, and i especially loved how big the map was and how you’re able to take multiple routes to get to the end. i wasn’t able to do any better than a neutral ending, even taking shortcuts, but i’m sure there’s some way to get some really good schmoovement in this game! the model work was also VERY good, i can’t believe that you made a map so expansive and so detailed in such a short timeframe. as for downsides, i think the biggest thing the game is missing for me is audio feedback. you mentioned having to cut the music at the last second because of copyright, but that’s not quite the problem for me personally - it feels a little weird with so little sound effects in the game. i think it would feel a lot smoother with sound effects for engine sounds, drifting, switching modes, sirens, etc, just little touches to make it feel less empty. (it’s probably just a me thing for why the lack of that affects me so much, though ^^”) outside of that, you’ve got something really awesome here! can’t wait to see more work on this!

Developer(+1)

I'm glad you really enjoyed the game! The good ending takes a bit of exploration and listening to the tapes to figure out so don't worry about your skill! Thanks for the kind words for the map, it was my first time making enviro art and map making in unreal so it was a very scary endeavor.

As for the  sounds, I do agree that audio is a bit too quiet and I wish we had more time to get more sounds in there. There was car sounds (and bad drifting sounds) and sirens so I wonder if you had one of our audio bugs where the game doesn't start with all the sounds on. Even still the lack of audio is definitely felt by the team! Thanks for playing :)

Hey, I had lots of fun playing through this game!! Using the flying mode to fly above police cars was funny.

I liked how the police cars were written. They're fast enough to catch up to you, but it's fun and easy to swerve them or make them fall off of the bridge or down the mountain. They were the right amount of difficulty for me. The environmental hazards, like the falling rocks, were very fun to drive past too!

I would have liked to rotate the camera and have a look around at the environment. Some background music would help players feel the vibe of this game more too. Good job!

Thanks for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed the game! It really means a lot seeing someone enjoy the cops, we've been getting a lot of either too easy or too hard, so just right is wonderful :) I think this is the first time someone commented on the falling boulders! I was worried just the straight drive up was going to be boring so I appreciate that the hazards didn't go unnoticed! I originally set it up so that when it starts raining, the car starts getting slippery, but the team wanted to murder me for making the final stretch almost impossible lol

I hope that we can get music into the game in the future! We were worried about DMCA so we ended removing what we did have.

GTA V if it was good

In all seriousness though, I actually did have a lot of fun playing this. The movement was fast but also tight and easily controllable, and the graphics are simple and enjoyable. I do wish there was a way to rotate the camera, but that's a small complaint compared to the fun I had playing this. Good job!

I would be grateful if you checked out my submission as well.

I'm glad you enjoyed the movement and graphics! If it wasn't obvious, those were our die on a hill points. Glad you enjoyed it and I'll for sure check out your game :)

very fun and smooth gameplay (which can be hard to do with physics based games). the flying mode in particular was very intuitive to control. also i love the voice acting lol

Developer(+1)

I'm glad you liked the physics! The original plan was to make it kinda Bennet Foddy-ish with rough controls and a hard goal, but midway through we made the change to it being more casual so I'm glad it paid off. And yeh , the voice acting was a ton of fun lol

Fun little game, agree it would be great for a mobile game.  Flying, drive or swim, good choices as the physics for each is different which affects the game play. Great start.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I appreciate you playing the game:) I’m excited to where the game goes from here

Followed the development of this one a little bit so going in had some pre-existing expectations. Safe to say they were all met! Honestly would love to see this as a mobile game, it definitely wouldn't look as pretty as it does here, but I just really want to be able to play this whenever/wherever

Developer(+1)

I'm glad we didn't disappoint! Thanks for keeping up the games progress :)

Awesome game! It looked really visually impressive and polished. It was fun to drive around. I liked the pan out in the beginning from the top of the mountain showing you clearly where you needed to go. I noticed the first time I loaded the game up the audio did not start, but it started the second time I loaded it.

Developer(+1)

Sorry about that audio bug! I didn't notice it until after the jam ended so I was hoping no one noticed ~

Glad you enjoyed everything else :)

Very nicely polished and fun gameplay! Also loved the day night cycles and scattered tapes, really made me want to try to collect them all. I had struggled with the cops and fixed camera angle at the beginning but it got better once I found the right path into the mountains.

Developer (1 edit)

I'm glad you had fun and went for the tapes! Hope you found them all :D we had fun making them~
