Historical Accuracy
The resources I used included websites and newspaper archives. Visits to the local area, museums, and historical buildings I also spoke with the locals and some rather elderly people in order to get a feel for the story.

Thematic Relevance
On April 11th, more than 100 Luddites gathered at the Dumb Steeple, a landmark near Mirfield. In the dead of night, they marched on Rawfolds Mill. But its owner, William Cartwright, was ready for them. The mill was fortified, and soldiers were stationed there. The Luddites were beaten off, and two of them were killed.

This revolt is the context for what came next in the West Riding of Yorkshire.
Join George Mellor, "The General Ludd of Yorkshire," and his fraternal friends, as they embark on a Luddite mission to bring forth acknowledgement from the government of the hardships their community and other communities faced in the early stages of the Industrial Revolution.

Disclaimers
I used AI art rendering for the images. I used 8D Character creator for the Characters. I used RPGMaker MV for the game itself. I used some plugins. I used official RPGMaker assets largely and dlc you can get for the software.

You did some very elaborate research! Very impressing.

We just walked somewhere and maybe kind of broke the game more than once in the process. 😂That's quite the large map and we got lost more than once.

Plus for the intro video. Nice job with the voice over. We got a little wobbly watching the intro video, though. The movement made us a little sick. 🙈 The video with the black and white overlay in the middle really broke with the rest of artistic direction.

Allium called out "Look, we're a JRPG boy band." while playing.

I cannot fairly judge on graphics since it's all AI.

The voice-over was entertaining.

The images for the cutscenes are AI. I am not very artistic. I also thought it would be ironic to approach the Luddite fallacy in this manner as it is pertinent to the times. It was close to impossible to find paintings etc of the mills that were free for use.
All other images are created by various artists that have designed sprites and tile sets for the software.
I am glad you found the voice-over entertaining, though.  Thanks for playing.

Well done! The scope and quality of the audio, graphics, and mechanics, for one week is amazing and inspiring! These mechanics are a great way to tell a story. The set up and cutscene are a nice “in” for the player as well. Great great job!! So impressive!!

Thank you for your comments. I worked really hard on this game. It was a labour of love and homage to Yorkshire. I managed to balance a full-time job, and parenting duties, and get this game done. This comment put a smile on my face. I am really glad my approach did some justice to this legendary event in Yorkshire.

Nice work!  The story was well and entertainingly told, glad that I made it through to the end.  Somewhat ironic that you've used AI art eh? XD (this doesn't take anything away from it for me)

Thank you, kind human. I am glad it was entertainingly told.
Yeah, the AI thing was an ironic element that I chuckled about. I made an AI image of Ned Ludd, he is probably gonna wake up next Halloween...
The interesting thing was the AI without prompts knew to make the wrists and arms deformed. As many people from that time through labour had deformed arms and wrists.  Also, people's arms often got mangled in the machines. So it was a bit of a weird experience.
Anyway, the Luddite fallacy is probably emphasised in this game somewhat and the irony is there.
