Historical Accuracy
All text sources have been credited on the game's web page.
Quotes in the cutscenes come from the Book of Later 後漢書, Biographies (列傳), Volume 11, Biographies of Liu Xuan; Liu Penzi 卷十一 劉玄劉盆子列傳 第一.
Thematic Relevance
The game is about the first female rebel leader documented in Chinese history. While her revolt was small and with the purpose of avenging her son's unjust death, her story inspired many to revolt - thus leading to the end of the short Xin Dynasty.

Great game.
Overall UI is easy to understand and use. I love the old-ish style of the paper and the font of text used. The game has great potential and was really fun to get into!
Danke, Herr von und zu Stöckchen!
I truly liked the graphics and atmosphere of this game. Great work!
Awww, thank you! <3
(Big bread love from us to you! 🍞~)
Well polished, with a very cohesive style and experience! I liked the random events between rounds, although, the chance of being given certain choices seemed like it could benefit from some balancing.
Thank you for your comment! <3
Yeah, there are some events that pop up when they shouldn't but sadly we did not have time for more balancing. :( We didn't want to break anything after Poppy, our programmer, got sick.
This is my favorite so far. Loved the style and the atmosphere.
O:
Thank you! <3
Amazing entry, very polished. Gameplay wise, the core idea of a resource management is here, but the way resources are impacted by your action and random events sometimes seems a little too... random sometimes. Got ready for the revolution 6 months in advance and one month before the revolt, a flood wiped just enough food to make it aborted, really sad, but I guess it also reflect the harsh reality ;)
Great entry, thanks for sharing their story!
Yeah, sadly we didn't have too much time for balancing. I (Gerbera) have seen others play the game and some have had some very bad luck with the RNG. 🙈 Some events also pop up when they are not supposed to. Our programmer Poppy got sick and we didn't want to fiddle with it too much, lest we might actually break something.
Thank you for playing and the nice comment! <3
Playing this game was such a wholesome experience. You did so amazingly well in all aspects I can think of, let me list them here and be asured they all deserve highest marks.
- Art and background animations (I would be interested in how you created the floating ink effect, if you want to share that, I would be really greateful << ah, just found it in the credits section)
- Music, SoundFX and Voice acting (the last one in particular one can find only rarely in Jam games, and you did it in such a perfect manner)
- Tutorial and Gameplay
And of cause the two categories that are special for this Jam: Thematic Relevance and Historical Accuracy. I've heard about the story of that woman before - thanks to your game I know it in great details now.
My congratulations to your thoroughly successful contribution.
Thank you so much for your comment! <3 It really made our day and we were all giddily giggling in our own discord server over being praised like this. (It still took us some time to answer the comment, sorry.)
Yeah, the floating ink effect is just a video asset I (Gerbera) slapped onto the background in Dacinci Resolve, with the composite mode set to colour at a 50ish percent opacity. Makes for a really cool effect - learned that one during the jam! :3
Thank you so much for playing our game, for rating it and writing such a wholesome and nice comment. <3
