O: A button to mute music and sound effects! Nice.
We were impressed by the three different difficulties. That's very cool. :3
The controls were very slippery, and the sliding made it hard to control. We were wondering: Was this on purpose? Could be an accident, could be to make the game harder. We couldn't decide. 😂
Having the cones showing the field of view was fantastic. Also having the scrolls of text staying up on the houses where we've already been was nice.
The map was huge! Maybe a tad too big? ~
Thanks for the feedback! :) The controls were on purpose; I wanted the game to feel like you were riding a horse. I didn't want perfectly precise movement as I think it would harm the difficulty of the game, but in hindsight it should've been tighter controls overall.
The map was also finalized as a last-minute thing so there wasn't much time to see if it was too large or too small. I also think it was too large but too late to change, unfortunately.
This was really well-executed! The feeling came across really well, thanks to the uninterrupted riding controls. The darkness and lights gave it a very cozy feeling, which worked well for the whole secrecy atmosphere.
A fun game with someone confusing controls in the beginning, as many already have mentioned before, but the art was really nice! Great work!
I'm glad you enjoyed the game. It was my first game jam, and I appreciate your kind words about my art. Thanks for playing.
Managed to beat this once. Was fun. Good educational value. Minus points for the music at the title screen :( otherwise good effort!
Awesome job on beating the game! Glad you had fun. Thanks for playing.
Played it on hard, because that's how Paul Revere did it! Had a couple of harrowing near-misses, but I made it :D Was confused about the controls at first, but once I realized, I was glad that I didn't have to hold the key the whole time.
Nice! Glad you didn't get caught. Thanks for playing.
First I was wondering wth is wrong with the controls - until I fully realized that my character is sitting on a horse. And these beasts can have their own will, that's for sure! In that sense, you did pretty accurate with these :-D
I think the art assets look really good - it's too dark to fully appriciate them, but by what I can see, they are well made.
The music wasn't of my taste, so I was happy about the mute option you built into the game.
Exactly right, Riding a horse isn't exactly smooth ;)
Glad you liked the art assets. This was my first jam and creating everything from scratch was an experience.
Thank you for playing.
I had so much fun playing your game!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for playing.
Very fun but it takes a little bit to get used to the controls.
Haha yes. It's like riding an actual horse.
Thank you so much for playing!
