No way, we both made almost the same game of throwing asteroids at an AI controlled ship.

The idea of having a 'heart' that you have to protect was a good one, it's a nice way to add a lose-condition and keep the pressure up. The fact that's it's vaguely heart-shaped is also a nice touch.

Other asteroids being able to hurt your heart felt a bit harsh. A better way to add difficulty might have been just letting the ship shoot more.

Really nice to see some other ideas with asteroids! I thought it was a bit harsh for other asteroids to hurt you but managed to pull through. I enjoyed it a lot!

Very interesting mechanics! It's also very addictive with the bg music.

Interesting idea. I think I never played game where you can throw asteroids like that. I was always dodging them. So, pretty cool.

This is awesome! I don't know if you knew this before making this game, but there is a concept in physics called a "Gravity Assist." This concept is where a spaceship uses the gravitational fields of a planet to alter its speed and direction (More detailed explanation: https://solarsystem.nasa.gov/basics/primer/). With a little more time this game could be used as a way to get students interested in physics. Amazing work. By far my favorite game I have played today.

Thanks! I think I recall that being used in A Space Odyssey - Although the ship turning is just the ship's AI, not gravity, so you may be giving me too much credit, haha.

A bit janky but overall a good concept

Thank you!

Nice! What did you use for the making the sprites?

Developer

Thanks! I used Godot's Line2D (just a line renderer) to make the Graphics for everything.
