I really enjoyed your concept! It took me a bit to understand where to go, but I really like the lack of cooldown for casting, and using those abilities on the environment to clear paths, etc. The combat is interesting and is a great foundation you can easily expand upon.

I hit some jankyness with the camera that sadly made it very difficult to play after a bit. I was able to collect two abilities and wielded them effectively though!

I enjoyed my time with what you made - great work!

I really like the game's perspective, and the shadow casting effects are very cool. As other's have mentioned, increasing the player's speed would go a long way towards making the game feel more compelling. I would also focus on adding more design language to teach the player the game's mechanics and compel them on where to go. I'd be interested in seeing how this develops with more time, but this is a nice start, so keep working on it!

Cool, I like the overhead, 3D angle. The environment seems interesting and there's definitely more to expand on there.

As most people have mentioned, the player moves too slow. I think getting some music in the game would also help it feel more lively.

Definitely keep working on it!

The player is just so so painfully slow. I honestly just couldn't put up with it for long enough to see much of the game. Just fixing that could probably be enough to make this an enjoyable game.

I dig the art and I'm always a fan of seeing different twists on metroidvanias. The player felt slow for an overhead character in my opinion.  I'd be interested in seeing how this develops should you continue working on this for SMVM!

I like this idea, it inspires me to think about a more DND style metroidvania. cool submission!
