Great first game with a clear premise and several well-thought-out mechanics.

Some ways you can improve this game:

  • Limit the framerate: it ran too fast on my computer and I had to cheat a few times to progress
  • Some animations for the player, especially when jumping
  • More advanced mechanics like coyote time to make the game less frustrating to play
  • Some background music/sound effects

The death screen which showed the cause of death was quite a nice addition. Overall, good job and I liked the story!

thanks for your comment, I will keep these things in mind for my next game

the mechanic is simple and easy to understand. I feel it's hard to control the movement. overall good job for completing the game!

Developer

thanks for your review, I would really like to play your game fully, but I don't know what you must do to finish the first level

you just need to go near the NPC, then possess it, n repeat until you reach the afterlife (doorlike thing)

Nice, short game! I enjoy it!
It would be nice if the level automatically restarted after you die (like in super meat boy).

thanks, I will play your game as soon as I can
Edit: Sorry, but I can't play your game, because I don't know, how I can play a rar-file, It would be helpful, if you make a .zip-file or describe, how a rarfile can be played

I will say I am great at dying in the game :) The controls make you fly around the game at super speed So I spent a good amount of time swimming in lava or hugging some of the enemies.  A game for the hardcore platformers but you have done some Good work

Edit: I played your game up to level 3 with the void, but I'm stuck with this level, because I don't know what exactly the void does and how to beat this level with it.

Very simplistic game, I couldn't pass the level with the aliens, not sure why it was not going forward after I got to the platform where the "portal" was.

The movement was wayyy too fast and felt weird, I kept running into lava straightaway when I started. And that's the other thing, I couldn't first tell apart what was killing me, since it was just some color change, didn't pay that much attention (my own fault that one :D)

You made a complete game though, with multiple levels, different death screens ( I enjoyed that) and you explained well in the start how to play so it was relatively good! :) Good job!

Firstly pretty good story and level design, but the play character is a bit too fast and out of control, and sometimes the portal doesn't work. But it is impress that you used raylib to code this. The unique platforms are pretty good addition to the game, and the enemies. Overrall good job, but with some polish it would make your game really good.

Fun and simple concept, I liked the art style and the way you set up a different death screen for each different way to die in the game.

That level with the crazy moths flying up and down!!!???!!! I didn't have a chance!
Fun little game. Love that you put effort into writing different "death-screens".   Crazy hard at times ;) ;)
For constructive critisism I would mention that it bugged on me on some levels where touching the portal didn't take me to the next level. Also some kind of sound would have been nice.
Other than that, good job!

*Edit: Oh, and also. best way to defeat a boss!!
