The game dragged on for too long, i completed the game but i was more glad that it was finally over than happy about escaping with my friend, for a game jam a shorter experience is better in my opinion, i spent too much time on this.

You choose how much time you want to spend, no one is forcing you to play all the levels

Hello Lysdal, sorry if my comment sounded too aggressive, I was frustrated because your game was easily one of the best of the jam until I got tired, the level of polish is incredible, the mechanics are engaging and the music/sound/art design is pleasing, I wanted to keep playing because I don't think I can give a fair review if I don't see the whole experience the games has to offer, I didn't know if there was a save system so I was scared that I would have to restart from level 1 if I quitted.

While it's true that it was my fault that I didn't have a good time, I think it's valid criticism since that could happen to anyone, not just me.

When you develop a game, you usually expect the player to want to keep playing and see all the main content it has to offer, I just wanted to tell you my experience, which wasn't good, but that doesn't mean the game was bad, enjoyment is subjective after all, and maybe the challenge of the game is not for me, I hope you weren't discouraged by my words.

That's fair and all, enjoyment is subjective. I just don't feel like "It dragged on too long" is constructive criticism in the context of a puzzle game for a game jam. Btw I have no affiliation to this game, just sharing my thoughts as I didn't want the developer to limit himself because of this review :)

I just checked and the uploader is Rattus, my bad! It was too late at night so I got confused on who made this, anyway, I guess what I didn't like was to redo all the changes every time I fail, the developer doesn't necessarily have to cut or make less levels, but I do think that making too much levels could be detrimental to the overall experience of the game.

I do agree that for a typical puzzle game, length should not be an issue. However, I understand what you mean about it being too long for a game jam game. My hope is for people to play through most of (if not all) of the game, and I do admit that I pushed myself to create an arbitrary amount of levels that may have been more than needed and so I appreciate the feedback. Thank you!
