Ah pyramids were a thing in Monster hunter though they are considered places of worship rather than temples. A good example is in the rain forest in Monster Hunter Rise, which has a large pyramid. Though not the same as how we know in Egypt, it is made using stones and can be a huge vantage point for hunters.
Though I wouldnt really pass the idea that desert pyramids exist in the world of Monster Hunter, since the beauty of writing an expanded world is that it is possible since it already happened in real life!
