Clarification on 0.8 - Why we have to split it

Again, yes, this version will have nsfw scenes. As in say gex things. This will be the final time I will answer this until the update drops.

More specifically where you can choose to either follow their orientation of being a T or B, or convince them to switch. The next release has 12 scenes (2 per char) with 4 of them T and 2 of them B (I'll let you all think who those are).

The next update, 0.8, will be released in 2 parts. (0.8 part 1 and 0.8 part 2). This is just so we can split our work so we don't overwork ourselves and push the update any longer.

While originally we wanted to release 24 scenes (each having 2 top, 2 bot instead of only 1), things just got out of hand and we couldn't finish much. Setting expectation, Part 1 wont include AN4L yet. That doesn't mean part 1 will not have a nsfw scene. It will. It just wont be any AN4L action. If you think sex is only that, then to you, this might not be the sex update, and I suggest continue waiting for part 2.

I just want to add, we didn't mean to let everyone wait for this. One year since last update, no actual nsfw event since release, etc. We just want to go at it at our own pace, and I hope everyone understands it.

Also please stop messaging us about the update or demanding an update in our twitter DMs. I know it has been a year already... but It doesn't help us get faster, and it kinda makes us panic work (work on something too fast, re-evaluate, realize it's shit, redo everything, boom: wasted time)

Most likely not. So much of the art still needs to be done, checked, and edited before we can even consider adding it in the files. This update is just really heavy on the art, hence the length of time. Not to mention some... things happening the past several months that really prevented us from working on the VN.

Art still needs work but majority of the writing is almost done. Will still need more time before we can polish it because we really just want to make this particular update right

While I don't like this question as this is a constant ask ever since we released the game, and it has been a hassle to keep responding to these so will answer this one again one final time. Any other questions like this will be ignored for the future, and non-stop constant asks will be banned.

Will there be real NSFW in the next update (0.8)? As in the big S-E-X
 - YES, we will be adding. 
   = There will be a Dom/Sub option hence why its taking longer.
   = Just a heads up, we originally planned to put 2 of these nsfw scenes (so 4 each char) this update, 0.8, but we couldnt even finish one set set so 0.9 will feature another and maybe even another in 0.99/1.0.

EDITED note: We cannot release the update this month since the art is really far from done. I hope you continue to be patient with us, and hopefully we can finish it before January ends. We will work hard for it!

The reason for him is cause we need chub representation. While we all like dads and muscle, some of us usually prefer bounce.

The VN originally was suppose to have 9, since our reference was Morenatsu, but then we realized it's a lot... 

We actually had a 4 day discussion way back 2 years before the game's first release on who to include as the final roster, and we ended up removing - Bulldrome, Arzuros, Teostra, and special mention of Khezu cause... I dont know what to do with that one...

Fun fact, Runan wasn't suppose to be a Nergigante, he was suppose to be a buff Seltas. But we thought Nergigante's are more popular, and easier to idenfity than a Seltas.

Its still gonna be a while before we release the new update. The game is being worked on slowly with as much free time we can muster.

And this is also because we want everyone's dateable to be visible every update. Imagine us updating your fave character, then waiting for 5 more updates before your fave character gets his update. It would be torture. So for fairness, we always do it like that. It basically comes from experience when I play ongoing VNs, I only like 1 character, but then I have to wait several months for when they get an update. 

Though that does sacrifice time, like each update will take longer (especially this one due to both art, writing, and holy crap real life not giving me time to breathe), there is sufficient enough content to enjoy for every dateable. Also the game will have a rehaul after 1.0 with new UIs, new events on days, and additional dialogue. (Mostly fixing grammar stuff and programming stuff)

Actually, we will still continue to develop the game. We might just host the downloadable files on our own website, but we want to see how it plays out for now just to see if there will be any changes. We don't want to doom ourselves yet. Just rest assured, the game will keep going!

Sorry, we are really unable to continue to work on the VN consistently due to our personal lives being difficult at the moment so our speed is extremely slow. We cannot give a date on when but rest assured we are doing what we can to at least make some progress, no matter how little.

Correct actually. 

To add that, I often update codes on prev days to see if I can improve it or change some parts that may affect future events. Because of this, Renpy gets confused when you load into a save. But that's also why we release games in larger intervals rather than several in a month so that you don't do this often.

You can always support us by sharing our game to through word of mouth! The more people that play our game, the more motivated we are. We don't make people pay for our game, nor we don't want to force financial support on our first project, so really the best way is to share our game!

We don't really need additional team members since we want to keep our updates/exchanges/burdens just between us two. We want to check our limits first and we want to keep everything inhouse (Also we cannot pay for people's work cause we are poor... And I want to pay people a salary cause it's fair and the right thing even if people say it's for free. Just doesn't feel right to not pay)

Actually I will answer this as this seems to be a question many ask. So spoilers for Chapter 3

He was actually in fact targeting the Elder to begin with. To Jin, it looked like he was about to shoot you, but as someone conniving as the Admiral, he would choose something that has more of a painful impact to the village. Killing you would only bury him more, but killing the elder would yield worse situations. And that is what he wanted.

Just a reminder, NSFW doesn't always mean sexual. The game contains... themes and scenes that require a heads up. Not because it is sexual, but because it is not for anyone under the age of 18. Though... it's not like I can track who can download our game anyway...

Plus, the game is in development, and we are still working on the next update while life is continuously shafting us in a bad way :( So while this and early stuff don't have the sex scenes that many of you want, it's coming. Just always keep in mind the game is still in development and what is being shown right now is not going to be the final version. We will be polishing the days and characters more.

As for the Scriviner's ideals, it is actually that exact reason you said on why I wrote him like that. Someone who doesn't understand what he wants, but has conviction of wanting it. Majority of us are always unsure of extreme situations no matter what, and he isn't exactly a blank character either so he has a personality that is visible than most. This will get polished a bit more in the future.

Life has been difficult.

Me and DaSinBun have been really occupied with our personal lives the past few months with work and other issues. Because of this, the game had to be sidelined for a while until we have more time to work on it. We apologize for the delay 🙇‍♂️

We won't be going into a haitus since we will still work on it here and there, but the next update will take more time before we finish it. We just want it to really be as good as the recent updates and rushing it doesn't feel right to us.

Thank you everyone for your patience with us. We promised to finish this game and we definitely will. Even if it takes us more time to do so. We don't want to be homeless/hungry since that will make things slower so priorities first. Thank you again for understanding.

Yeah making stories about the side characters is gonna be difficult for us DURING development. ;)

Okay, before this dives into another intense argument, ShroudedLion is right. We won't be adding poly. We aren't confident enough that we could write poly and it would be an injustice if we made it only for the reason of "two is better than one", cause that is not the main essence of a Poly.

Also can you imagine how much work that would be? I'd have to write 30 different scenarios for it to fit... I love working on this game, but I don't want to milk it dry...

Another reason is actually our game will eventually have a full rehaul after 1.0, where earlier dialogues will have changes and corrections, including new events. I dont want the translators to be burdened by an incomplete game, especially one where my lack of English skills are seen as a problem right now. And thats big for a VN.

This is just to set expectations cause during Dec 2024 - Jan 2025, a lot are worried about us. While we did go through a lot in the past few months, we just want to assure everything is fine, we just wanted to take our time considering the topic we are portraying, just so we do not offend those who are going through grief in real life. We want to represent it in a proper manner, both the positives... and the negatives. And we do hope that message came across properly and I hope you all enjoy the development of the characters.

So while waiting for 0.8, rest assured this will take a while again to make it feel more natural. I did want to add more to 0.7 in terms of story, but I couldn't help myself to give a little... cliffhanger. I mean... for those following this game for a while now, ya'll should already know it's normal XD.

Anyway, I wanted to reassure everyone, that while we do not update as frequently as other VNs, we are doing our best to at least deliver equal care, love, and attention to all routes at the same time. Not to mention weave an overarching story that is both captivating and silly.

Oh right! Monster Hunter Wilds will be released in the next few days, so you all can probably expect us to play it. So uhhh... Next update will be a while again.

Though, the next update will finally feature some sexual scenes that one of you has been waiting for. Or all... At this point, I really should utilize DaSinBun's amazing talent. That is why I had to make some adjustments to the SFW tag. The next update will be finishing up chapter 4, and the entrance to the last chapter. MHVN is almost over... Well, the story at least. 

When we do release 1.0, we will then work on 2.0, which is going to be the final output, along with some dialogue checking, sprite edits, UI polishes, etc. I have already worked on changing the gallery, but that's gonna be for next update.
