This was gorgeously done! From the very moment the music started up, followed by the gorgeous art of the stained glass against the stark black screen, it set an incredible heavy ambience, like something that's not quite sad but still just settles down around you like a heavy burden almost.

ANYWAY I'M HAVING A HARD TIME DESCRIBING IT.  But it really set things up then for starting the game. I'm in love with the effect used with the sprite behind the confession window thingie -- how we can just get enough of a glimpse to see their changes in expression. It's a really unique and gorgeous way to approach the constraints of the jam. And then with the text appearing on the right as they speak and all of our own responses requiring clicks (even when there's only one line) -- I thought that was a really nice addition. That even when there's only one thing to say, it's still us that clicks it to proceed with the dialogue.

I'm left with a ton of questions, though I also feel a bit that that's the point -- neither we, nor the priest, ever fully know what's going on with everything in the confessor's life, but we try to respond how we feel best. I like how we're given more bits and pieces of the person's past and their general psyche depending on our answers. I think I got all the endings?? It says 3 on the about page and I got three --> in backwards order, 3, 2, 1 lol. I ended up enjoying the final playthrough the most because it was the first time I got more info and the "final confession"(?) I think, if you could describe it as such.

At any rate, this was a really beautiful little experience. The music is gorgeous btw!! I'm still listening to it now as I'm writing this lol. It plus the beautiful art and even more beautiful UI to accompany everything will definitely be sitting with me even after I hit the back button on this page. I really enjoyed it!! 💕

I agree with everything here honestly, the music immediately set the right tone and I'm also still listening to it! 😂

!!! Thank you so much for your praise and thoughts, Carrot! I'm glad to know I set the stage and tone for the story right from the get-go! I wasn't sure about the stained-glass on the menu screen at first, but your words give me confidence that I made the right decision c:

I'm happy you enjoyed the experience as well! It's true that we are not meant to fully grasp the confessor's situation. They're just blurting out whatever comes to mind and we're just listening.

Thank you again!
