Could stuff my spacesuit full of 10 servings of mabo doufu (my favorite food), 10/10 A+ game no notes.

LOL but seriously this was a ton of fun and I had more than a few laughs with it. The dialogue was so silly and random and kept suddenly making me laugh out loud. The final boss fight actually had me shedding tears in laughter (I won't spoil it, but make sure you use a certain item and you won't regret it LOL). The book on game design was also hilarious. Loved all the silly little interactions you could have with stuff in each area. Isaac was a silly cutie the whole time, especially his ramblings. I think there was a line when going up the final stairs from him that made me spit out my coffee, too.

All in all, an incredibly fun and entertaining experience that was a lovely little bright spot in my day 💕

I loved so much especially what you wrote about Iggy's aceness because it was definitely a key aspect for me as well going into it like, how are we gonna do this this time? Tbh I really like that about making these kinds of AUs, because I get to approach so many aspects of their characters in completely different ways and have fun getting to learn more about them and think up entirely new scenarios for things I already did before, like experiencing the characters all-new again (this time I also got to have fun in a scenario where Genzou and Iggy had never met, which was something really fun). But at any rate, yeah, like... vampires in any media have always had this kind of inherently sexual vibe to everything they do, like it's just a very intimate way to kill someone??? (I suppose it doesn't have to *kill* them per se, but that is often the usual outcome at least, and it certainly isn't something pleasant!! And though I didn't start writing this with the final outcome of the first ep in mind, it just kinda........ led there, on its own, without my really even planning it. Until it just turned into this huge allegory on its own. (I already have a tendency not to plan things out, but with this one in particular, I literally just winged the whole thing, I will admit, with zero plans in mind hahaha.) I was really happy with how it turned out in the end, even if it started to hit on really personal places and past experiences in my life. And I liked how it could potentially be relatable just a real experience and not even as a case of vampirism LOL Ahhh anyway... thank you for saying all that, because that ended up being such a big part of this that I connected to a lot and hoped other people might be able to, as well. I got really emotional while working on the ending.

And LOL YES. Genzou is pretty much feeling just as lost as Iggy but he's just hamming it up in hopes that all his tactics in rizz will somehow work this time (which they do actually, which is probably what surprises him). But he's just as much of a "failure" as Iggy also thinks he is so really they're both just a pair of "failures" that somehow find each other and maybe, just maybe, they can be what the other one needs... sob.

I'm glad you liked the shift in dynamic! I feel like I could write 50 million stories about these two (and probably have in my head at this point, given how I tend to randomly come up with AU storylines that I could do with them at the drop of a hat but usually never actually do anything with them). I love getting to write them finding each other in so many different ways because I just love them so much they make my heart hurt ahhhhh. I'm really glad you liked getting to see them in a new scenario and how that played out!!

LMAO I really don't know where the vampires came from... well, I kinda do, because it was inspired by a song, but I don't know what compelled me to literally turn the random small idea into an actual game hahaha. I can never guess what I'll end up doing sometimes... Also I don't have much experience in the realm of vampires, so I've been doing a lot of various research, as well. Even if in the end, I decide to kinda just do whatever I want with the lore and have fun with it lol.

I'm so glad you enjoyed Iggy! I feel like he was turned up to 11 in this game LOL so many of his aspects and quirks came out really really strong 🤣 But I think that's because I was just having fun and not afraid to be silly and a bit ridiculous. I was really happy with how sweet he turned out. I'm glad you could relate to him so much! The juxtaposition between him and Genzou is so amusing to me and I had a blast really playing up the differences in their view points. It made for so many funny scenes hahaha. HELP LMAO ABOUT GENZOU. Yes............... Genzou in general.... everything about him in this is very self-indulgent I think LOL which is perhaps why he comes across that way 🤣🤣🤣 I generally have never gotten to write their dynamic like this before and be so blatant about it, so it was a lot of fun for me. I'm really glad you enjoyed it!

Hahaha Orlam is.... well..................... though I haven't shown him much in game yet, he will have SOME darker bits, but I think in the end, he will be more amusing than anything else, as the story develops further. However, I do have ideas for at least one character down the line that will kind of take the role of the darker/more villainous character to provide more tension haha.

SURPRISINGLY SENSUAL LMAOOOOOOO. Yes it's true... this game let me explore some new avenues!! LOL Even if in the end ofc it never goes fully down that path, it was still fun for me to play with that a bit more. Especially since I never really have gotten to before. This is the first time in a game I've gotten to really put a lot of the new skills I've been developing in CSP with lighting and such to use and I was happy with the result!

Yeah that is a really good point, it's true. I guess it's also from a lot of people telling me specifically that they don't want to play it for some reason, usually because they want to wait or for some other reason. But at this point it's going to potentially be years before it's done, so it makes me feel a bit sad 💦 But yeah also new ppl to the game, it doesn't make much sense to play the remaster since it's not finished. It's really only interesting to those who've played the OG game.

Ohhhh that's really interesting about Killer Chat though and giving me more confidence that something like this could work 🤔 And you're right that it does feel like a bit of a demo in a way. Thanks a lot for this info. I may end up now going the Steam route as I've gotten a kind offer to help me publish, so we'll see if that ends up working. Though I would probably still do the remaster game page too even if Steam works out.

Ah yeah I know that Leafo is the main admin! Though Charlene is one, too, and she solves a lot of things for people, too. They are both in the Discord and will occasionally help solve things for ppl. I actually did get a response from itch support, but it was a confused response: 

Unfortunately, after that, even though I sent some screenshots and mailed back multiple times, I never got another response...

NttP is also in the Discord and wasn't able to give me any extra info about my situation. My last resort is to send a new fresh email to support and reference my other one, but I don't have high hopes for it. I think that maybe because it's a bigger issue (Charlene said it's likely a search bug) the admin don't have time to look into it right now because it's not as simple as just flipping a switch to reindex it as it's an actual glitch.

Yeah... I do think releasing on Steam could help a lot. Unfortunately, at least in the near future, Steam isn't an option for me unless I have a publisher. Because of my complicated tax situation, I would need to hire an expensive international tax lawyer to help me figure out how to fill out all the paperwork correctly for Steamworks (even though I would be releasing the game for free). This on top of the $100 fee to release a game is just a lot more money than I can spare right now, particularly as I just lost my job. To release on Steam, I would need someone else that has a Steamworks account to let me publish under them.

Thank you so much for the support though, that really means a lot 💕 I wish this too, both for myself and for the other devs that are in the same situation as me. I know a few others that have also been deindexed but told by itch that "their game doesn't appear deindexed," so it doesn't seem to be an isolated issue either... :(

Ahhh that is really great!! I'm glad that you were able to get your issue fixed. It is quite hard getting anyone's attention about it nowadays... I have tried asking in the Discord server with my ticket number, but I was only met with ppl telling me I just wasn't promoting enough and that fixing deindexing issues isn't a priority for the admin... :( It made me feel awful... Also I found ppl in the server that asked about my game specifically months ago and admin did see it and just said:

It seems like even admin doesn't know what is going on or how to fix it... And I haven't been able to get any more info for months despite reaching out multiple times in multiple places. So at this point I feel like I either have to try something myself or just give up 😩
